Where to mount my pow skis?

I could only find one thread on this and it didnt provide much info... not too mention it was from 2004.

So....

I bought a pair of atomic pimps 103mm underfoot w/ a pair of jesters and i was just wondering where most ppl mount their backcountry/pow ski.... I have a pair of scratches mounted TRUE Center. and i love how they ski park wise but not so much on the rest of the mtn. I'll be skiing these primarily in powder/ all mtn and not too much park but maybe a jump or backc**ntry jump occasionally.

i was thinking about just mounting them Progressive/ or Company center. which is about 2 cm forward of the classic mount while true center is about 8cm forward of the classic mount.

Any suggestions??? and what is everyone else's preference???

Thanks and +++k to any help! Later!

The question is how much do you ride switch, all my skis are mounted center because i ride switch a lot.

I am pretty sure there is a mounting point a long way forward on the pimps.. called FS (Core Centre) or something.. i guess that is only about -2/3 from true? Not sure about that but i think so.. have you got 08/09s?

Yeah theyre 08/09s brand new just ordered them at my shop should be in soon...

and about skiing switch... i'm from pa so im not really sure how much switch i'll be skiing. not too much but not zero either would be my guess...

and its sounding like the best option is the FS(core center)... which isnt true but kinda a compromise between true and regular mount.

anyone agree or disagree? the more opinions the better! thanks!

mount them at the suggested mounting point on the ski. thats where they are meant to be ridden at and thats where they will perform best... this should be a non issue

exactly. dont take switch into factor of where you want to mount them. I guarentee that if you say your ride switch a lot your probably only riding switch for 40% of the time. Mount them at the suggested mark and you'll be much happier, besides who wants to ski down a beautiful pow run in switch?
