Where to Mount My ANTS?

Today i picked up some s916's, and a pair of the 06/07 ANTS.

They will take me through all next year out west, for big mountain, pow pow ETC.

Heres the kicker. in 6'2, 160lbs. not a big guy at all, but i know how to ski. Im from a small hill east coast. Where the hell do i mount these bitches? (this set up is purely for out west next year)

SUGGESTIONS?

thanks.

i've got mine mounted 5 cm back from true center. if you plan on doing any sort of switch riding i suggest that, they still shred forward wonderfully, and they have a little more switch prowess that way. if you plan on just going forward for most of the time, i'd just put them at the suggested point.

Maybe ask keegan. But maybe not, I think he told me he was mounting his last years ANT's dead centre or soemthing rediculas like that.

10 back from true. Mine are 9.5 back or so, I could've gone a bit further.

-9 from center if you want a bit more versatility, but they'll still submarine a bit in pow when you try drive them

-11 from center is the best spot I've skied these in pow, but it makes for a long tip and the lack of tail won't allow for much agility in terms of spinning and switch riding

-7 if you ski alot of switch and spin ALOT, but they'll be next to worthless in the pow

Bottom line, mount somewheres between -11 and -9 and find yourself a cheap pair of park skis for that purpose.

youre 10 punds heavier than me and the same height. i have ant's with fks 185's mounted at plus 2. i think it is prime. me and the guy who mounted them talked about it a ton and we decided this was the best place because at my size it would give me the best power over the ski and float at the same time.

^^^ as he said, go -9 from true centre, which is -2 from the suggested line (the suggested line is supposed to be -7cm from true centre but sometimes the graphic is screwed up).

Since you are using them for big mtn/powder, you don't want to be any more forward than -9. I have mine at that and can make the tips dive if I drive them hard, but overall it's the best position, you can still ride switch good enough and spin.

If you were using them for jumping only I'd say -5 or -4 but who the hell uses ANTs for jumping only.
