Where to mount Karmas

I've 90% decided to get the Karmas in 185. Now I have to think about bindings and mounting. I know everyone here hates Salomon bindings, but the S914's are the best bindings for what I want: high din, light, no lift, and no plate. I also had them mounted on my CR labs and after I fixed the shitty adjustments that the shop did, had no problems and no bad releases in the park or bumps. I'm 6-1, 200 and set my bindings at 9-9.5. If anyone has another suggestion though, I'd love to hear it.

My question finally, is where to mount. I know the Karma has a range of mount points from FR (back) to FS (forward). I was thinking of going right in the middle of the two. This would leave enough tail for riding switch, but not too much to messup bumps and carving. Thoughts?

lower your voice....

i think i am planning on moutning my karmas at like -1 or -2 from true center.

That's a lot of difference. Half a centimeter too far forward can give you noticable tip dive and stability issues, so you have to be fairly precise with your mounting positions.

Bump because I need to decide today where to mount karmas. I'd really love to hear from someone who has had them. Im 190 lbs 6'3" and an aggressive skier. My priority is definitely on stomping landings forward and switch in the park, but at a point where Im not going to ruin the all mountain performance either.

Hah yea i'm in the same boat as you. 185 Karma's coming in next week. I'm 6'3" 190-195lbs and ride mainly on groom/offtrail and 20% park. Need to find a good mounting point.

I'm using 13.5 sized boots with FKS 155 bindings.

i will take more pics upon request.
