Where to mount K2 Pettitors

Hey guys, I have a new pair of Pettitors and some Look Pivots I just got and need help deciding on where to mount them. Has anyone skied the Pettitor before, and if so what do you think the best place to mount it is? A lot of people say I should center mount them, the only concern I have about that is if it will hurt their float. I am planning on skiing switch a lot, in pow too, so a center mount might be the way to go? What do you guys think, I've never skied anything close to center mount though. Thanks in advance!

Because rocker, spinning, skiing switch in pow, landing switch in pow, etc. Everyone I ski with has their pow skis center mounted. The Hellbent should only be center mounted. I see what your saying though, that's why I'm thinking -2cm back.

Spinning can hardly be affected by a couple centimeters and most people don't ski switch in the pow enough to justify a true center mount. It just make the ski float weird and harder to land off of cliffs

Totally depends on the ski. If my New Lifes were mounted anywhere but centre they would be super weird to ski on. That being said I would never mount a non symmetrical pow ski centre.

I'm in the same boat, is there a designation for where Pettit mounts his? He prob mounts them in a number of different spots? I dunno, thinking 3cm back from center? Is that enough?

Yeah I would like to know where Pettit mounts his too if anyone knows. Also are core center and true center different?

I have my hellbents mounted true center, I never have tipdive issues, its pretty fun and seems to make such a gigantic ski more manageable

Dilemma, I have brand new pettitors, do I put my axial PX18's on them or remove my griffons off an older pair of semi wrecked Bibby's, if I pull the griffons off ill put the PX18's on the bibbys. Should I make the pettitors as light as possible? Or will I not even notice the difference

You won't notice enough to make double mounting the Bibbys worth it IMO. I also am I big fan of the PX 18 so there's that too...

I guess if the weight is enough of a piss off I can always order lighter rossi bindings? The bibbys have a stress fracture in one of the tails so they're kind of on their way out.

I was just in the same situation with px 14s and griffons. ended up leaving the px's on my recoils and moved the griffons to my blogs

Core center is the center of the sidecut. Also the narrowest part of the ski. True center is the exact center of the ski when measured from tip to tail.

Thanks man. Does anyone know where Pettit mounts his? And has anyone else skied the Pettitor, where was it mounted? Thanks

Think I'm going to mount mine right in the middle of traditional and the center line??? with PX18's hopefully they're not too heavy

I got mine mounted at core cencet and that is just about perfect. It doesn't affect the float, landing in pow is still nice and easy, and skiing switch is a whole lot better
