Where to mount Dynastar M Free 108

I just got a pair of the M Free 108, the only thing keeping me from mounting them is mount point. Factory suggested is -7cm from true center. I love the feel of a center mounted ski however, I don't know what moving the binding forward will do. The M Pro series is still new enough that I can't find too many reviews. Should I consider somewhere in the middle, -3cm, -4cm? Thoughts and Suggestions?

I’d say don’t go more than 3 or 4 they don’t really look like a ski that would ski great center mounted. Even parks skis now days most aren’t meant to be center mounted 2-3 back usually

Just found a TGR forum with pictures and someone who has lots of time on Dynastar. Thought it was interesting and will attach photos. But now I'm thinking +2 from recommended. I work tonight so we will see what I do once I get them on the bench!

All credit to DarthMarkus for the photos. If you are on Newschoolers I'd love to hear your feedback!

Yo! I ski these every day and I prefer a more centered feel of a ski while not fighting the sidecut and rocker profile too much. The happy medium I have found on these is at +3 of recommended which is roughly -5.5 cm's from center. On the 118 I go +3 as well which equates to -6.5 cm's from center. These skis rip it all!

Think you’d go any farther forward? Just got a pair and usually ski around -3cm from center.

I always factory default… unless its a terrain specific ski. -1 or -2 from factory for powder ski, center mounted for the park ski.

The reason is because of how the ski was engineered. That location is the sweet spot of the ski. Its where the ski is at its narrowest and best for initiating turns. By feeling, default just feels way better all around

Mine are a little further forward, -4.5cm from true (+3.25 from recommended on the 182 I believe). I don't think I'd go further forward than that, they are an insanely pivot-y ski already at that point. For reference, that is the furthest back I've ever mounted a ski (except for the Stranger) but they feel basically centered, maybe even a smidge too far forward. If you are used to -3cm, I would go -5 personally. I usually ski around -2 from true for reference.

Update, I am hiking a lot more these days than I was 2 years ago so I am finding that I like them at +1 cm forward of recommended. I think if you're strictly riding resort +2 would be money. I would not go further forward than +3 as you'll really be fighting the sidecut past there.
