Where to mount Czars?

Hello friends. I am purchasing these lovely skis and I was wondering on the whereabouts to mount. I bought these skis mainly for backcountry jibbing and a little bit of charging. I'm 6 foot 140. I ride in Utah. I am an expert skier. And I'm considering center...but what the hell do I know?

if you are doing even a little bit of charging i would do -2 from core center. still enough tail for switch on groomers

most salomon twin tips have 2 marks on them, one that says standard stance (which is way far back) and another that says progressive stance, when i measured out for true center on my thrusters the progressive stance was like only 2cm back from dead center so i would bet the Czar progressive stance would work pretty well for what you'll be skiing.

This is pretty dependant on which size you got.

If you have the 174's, mount them on the line further back. That way your longer weight distribution doesnt get too hung up over the rocker, and you dont fall too far forward all the time.

If you have the 182's, mount them on the line further forward, or at least a CM back from there, in order to ensure that you have enough weight over the forward contact point in order to steer the ski.

woopsy. Yea they are 182's. So I guess it's looking like -2 back? Do you think ill still be able to do switch gnar?

mount them on the forward of the 2 reccomended lines, and you'll be in buisness... they ski a little bit shorter, because of the rocker, and there isnt much rocker, if any, in the tail of the ski.. so they would ski fine switch, even if you were not to mount them near centre... or, at least thats what I'd expect..

You bought Czars for back country jibbing? and a little bit of charging you say. It is not a 'jibbing' ski. My recommendation for you is to sell them and get a pair of bacons or hellbents or whatever. This ski is not ideally suited for mounting very far away from traditional boot centre.
