Where to keep extra lenses on the slopes?

I just bought a pair of I/O's, now I'm wondering where I should keep my lens when riding, when I ski we are out the whole day, so it would be nice to be able to change around on-the-fly.

I'm just worried that if I keep it in a pocket and fall on it, it will crack/scratch?

I wouldn't keep it in a pocket if I had the option. If try and store it in a locker in the lodge. If I had the choice though I would put it in a pocket on my jacket, one higher up because you are less likely to smash that area
 
Pocket is a terrible idea. Just keep them in your car or a locker. but if you keep them inside the lodge and warm and you have been skiing and throw them on, they may fog on you.
 
Well, I'm skiing in Europe and going on a 8-day long trip. So there isn't really any lodge or car, I can have them in my apartment, but it would be great to be able to change if the weather changed or the sun is going down.

Last year I rode with some gaper Uvex'es, but they had a darker lens which clipped onto the yellow base-lense and it was just great being able to change during the day.

Probably also going to be wearing a back-pack and not riding park every day, if I got some house which fit the lens and kept it in my backpack that might work?
 
somewhere warm and dry so they don't instafog on ya.

I'd say in the lodge in a bag. Keeping them in your pocket is just a recipe for disaster and condensation.
 
Don't have a second lens, if you're just skiing a resort all day.

I use the same lens for everything, I believe that you do not need a lens for every different light, it is the biggest shakedown in terms of buying goggles. Since I am forced to wear glasses under my goggles, I only use dark reflective lenses. They can be used for any light, and I saw minimal difference when I borrowed my father's crowbars with a High Intesity yellow lens. If you already have the second lens, sell it for money. Victory.

 
definitely your car. Think about it, You wont be changing lenses multiple times a day. Maybe once when it gets dark out and the lights come on (assuming you have lights). So making a trip out to you car one time wont be that big of a deal unless youre parked really far away. Even then you can just chill out at your trunk for a little and take a break and eat some food/dinner.
 
just know what the weather is going to be like for the day and figure out which 1 lens you would like. think about it: there will maybe be 1 or 2 days out of eight where the weather isn't consistent for the entire day. and when it isn't consistent, is it that much of an incovenience to have the lens that doesn't work perfectly? its nice to have two lenses but this is more of a first world problem than anything.
 
Yeah I know, but we're probably out from like 9 to 17. So the last couple of hours can usually have a really low light, where it's great to have a lighter lens.

But I might just see if I can get some hardcase, otherwise I'll just go for the one-lens-a-day way.

This is what I have. If I'd were to keep an extra lens, i'd put it in this and put it in my backpack.. that's the only solution you have..
 
I keep mine in the lower hip pocket (if your pants have one of those). The curve of the lens matches the shape of my leg pretty well.

I've stepped on my I/O lenses and completely compressed them and they were fine. Don't worry about cracking them in your pocket.
 
Dont know what you jacket is like but ive got a goggle specific pocket on my magic jacket and i keep my spare lens in there. It sits at about the bottom of my rib cage and the curve of the lens fits to the shape of my ribs and unless you land on your chest on a rail etc its unlikely for anything to happen to it. I keep the lens in the thin polystyrene sleeve it came in, in the goggle bag. Havent had any problems yet and i fall over a whole bunch.
