what up newschoolers

so im planning a trip up to Vermont and i have a few ideas in mind but nothing set in stone yet. im considering surgerbush and stratton. iv heard some good things bout these mountains and not much about any others. i want to go somewhere that is not just a HUGE park scene AKA Mt. Snow. i wanna ride some nice trails and some sweet tree lines. price really isnt that big of a deal as long as its not ridiculos. Help me out here guys lemmme know where you would go if you were in my position!

THANKS A BUNCH!

if you want less park and more trails go further up north to Stowe, Smuggs and Jay Peak. Sugarbush, as you mentioned, is good too. little more family orientated. my favorite is Stowe.

Jay- if you dont want to ski any park really they are probably, definitely IMO the place with the best trees pow and such
Stowe- if you wanna spend 84 bucks or more im not sure they have the most variety of things and tyro is pretty sick for park if its up
Burke- i put this on because its my home mountain but we have no lift lines its the home of the 5 minute lift line guarantee its 35 bucks, i think, the park is fun even though its on the small side and there is a good assortment of trails although it definitely doesn't compare to Stowe in size
dont go to smuggs
Bolton is pretty alright i went when they were setting up their park and although i didnt get to ski it it looked like it would be nice
hope this helped although it is very biased towards my home hill

killington has everything from big parks to small parks trees and groomers...and the stash is pretty fun

if you want steeps then stowe is definately the place to go. Jays normally got some really nice EC pow if your looking for pow. if you want a little bit of everything go to mt snow or killington. or hit them all!

stratton!

its got great glades and although not entirely park oriented, it has phenomenal parks of all sizes. my only downside towards it in terms of just skiing around would be that it isn't very steep anywhere, especially where the good glades are.

Smuggs is awesome; especially, the back bowls. Smuggs got hit the hardest and had the least wind blown crust of any resort on the Green Mountain spine.

im really curious why you said this. its pretty much exactly what hes looking for. smuggs has amazing trees, tons of snow and the worst park in the world.

yea, except what is their lift ticket price?

i remember it was ridiculous the last time i was there

i ride mount snow every day and there is sick tree skiing right now one reason being is that there are also features in the woods to which is so sick and when there is a foot of freshies its fun as hell

I will say this was not a very thought out post about the mountain. However i have been there a couple times and for the most part didn't have a great time mainly because the times i had gone were icy and/or windy the lines were long, the park sucked and there was no snow to be found i posted this from a few bad times i had there i now realize although i truly think this and i myself will not go again i may not be a good person to write a review of smuggs and therefore should probably not have posted what i said or should have gone into depth on my reasoning for not going there

for all mountain/woods nothing beats MRG, and its relativley cheap. its just a matter of hitting it right because it does have potential to suck.

Sugarbush is also pretty good, my home mountain and i love it

DONT GO TO BOLTON PERIOD

Stowe's good if you want to pay $90 or so for a lift ticket...

hope that helped

oh almost forgot jay has some really good stashes if you know where to look and they have alot more snowfall than most mountains up here

shut up you were born and raised at BV, and MRG. but sugar bush has a great size and price and variety.

COCHRANS ANYONE?!
