Where should we go? (vacation)

So long story short my grandma's cancer has gotten really bad. They give her a year at most to live.

were doing everything on her bucket list before she passes like sky diving, learning to shot a gun and drive a car over 100 mph stuff like that.

one of the things on her list was bring the entire family on a vacation where money really is no issue. witch she never has been able to afford but we are going to try to make it work.

we have never really traveled much. so where do you guys recommend we go. i know this is kind of a repost but i just wanted some idea's.

Spent two summers in Costa Rica. You get the rain forest and beaches. Not bad at all. Sorry to hear about your G ma. I hope you create lasting memories for everyone.

Ask her where she's always dreamed of going and take her there.

I went to Eruope last summer and had an absolute blast. There are so many historical sites and beautiful places to visit there.

yellow stone is what she has always wanted to do. maybe go there for a week then down to costa rica or something. were thinking 10 days in october for when we would go.

Central America, like Costa Rica. You just can't really go wrong with anywhere on the Caribbean. It's also pretty close. Or if you're more into sight seeing and stuff rather than relaxing, go to Italy or France. Both have amazing small towns to visit and also big cities like Rome and Paris. Also, Japan is sweet, I've always wanted to go to Japan.

There really are soo many choices and many that I listed are obvious. Many of the best places are hard to find really. I suggest get a general feel for your vacation first. Like, how do you want to spend your time during it and make a decision after that.

I've been there too and you definitely can't go wrong with Yellowstone. It's incredibly majestic.

Yellowstone is rad but is does take whole lot of walking and hiking to get to some of the most spectacular places. Depending on where the family is at you could always road trip it to Yellowstone then fly straight out to your next location. Full on jet setters. Keep in mind traveling like that can take it out of older folks. We took my grandpa to Hawaii for is last trip. He was there during pearl harbor and had never been back. Damn I miss that cool old timer. Where ever your family decides to go, remember that its about the family being together and creating the memories.

Depends on if she's outdoorsy or more commercial. If she likes adventures and natural beauty, go ahead and check out yellowstone or yosemite. Hell, maybe even alaska.

If she likes relaxing on the beach and having margaritas handed to her all week, check out Cancun, Mexico.

wow, im surprised so many are saying costa rica.

CR came off as incredibly impoverished, dirty, and unbearably hot during the day. constantly getting offered blow/weed by the locals was cool at first, but became unnerving after a while. the dirt roads for 'main' roads was also kinda sketchy...felt like i was going to get robbed at any moment

I went to london and paris this summer and loved it. Spend like 6 days in london and 4 in paris. (more time in london cause it is easier to communicate so you can do more)

I went to Ireland and loved it. If you can afford that go there.

Assuming you are in North America, you could do a weekend in NY if she likes the city or go somewhere where you can do multiple things on her list. Orlando, FL has all the themeparks and that kind of shit so I'm sure you can do some things there.

If shes real adventurous, go to Moab. I would go back there in a heartbeat.

Vibes about your grandma, but she sounds like shes taking it in stride and is an awesome grandma.

If moneys no issue, dont go to yellowstone. Really a pretty lame national park compared to other options out there. Take her somewhere really amazing like New Zealand or Switzerland, if shes never traveled abroad much there are so many good destinations out there. Even going to Yosemite or Banff national parks would be better then yellowstone
