Where should I mount my jj's?

Alright so I just got a brand new pair of 185 jj's and am overly stoked on them. But I have ran into the dilemma on where to mount them. I am 5'11 155 and on these I will do 55% charging, 25% jibbing and screwing around, and 20% trees. The factory recommended is -5. I was thinking -4 but I don't know.

Thanks a lot!

i have obsetheds witch are some what similar ( pow skiis with almost same width size, etc)I mounted the -2 from core center. i do 40% charge/ 40% tree's/ 20% jibbin

i have surface one lifes. basically the same design as jj's. and i mounted them true center. and i do a lot of charging and they are fine. i love them at center

Mine are at recommended and i very like them there. You should mount them at recommended because of the sidecut, don't think they Will ski like they are suppose to

i have schizos on my 185 jjs, and i find that they carve on groomers well at around -2.5, -3, but for pow they rock at -4, -5
also, they hate being center mounted, it's super awkward

yeah when a ski has directional side cut its best to not mount them true center. even 1-3 cm makes a big difference in turn initiation and edge control ive found

They call it "recommended" for a reason.

That said, I loved my 185cm JJ's mounted at recommended for everything. I rode them every day the season that I owned mine; regardless of the condition. My only gripe was that they were too short for me. If there were a 191cm+ size available I would definitely pick them up.
