i just got them in the mail like 2 days ago and im getting bindings for them soon but im not sure where to get em mounted. I ski a lot of park but i also just ski around sometimes. Whats good for park but will let me carve still? I prolly ski 70% park 30% all mtn.

I would say +5 from mid sole, thats what I have on my PE's and its great for everything...

since you asked...i dont like to go more than 3cm foward of reference. The fuji is a interesting ski and if you start moving too far foward its gonna mess with the flex.

Also...helicoils!!! it sucks ripping your binding out

mount it on the set mounting area on the ski

Ya i have 05 fuji's i got 'em center mounted and they really only have one use which is park and light powder. In powder the center mount is awesome on the ski ( i dont know why!) If i were you knowing what i know now i'd mount 'em 3 back thees a lil gird on the side ( IF U HAVENT SEEN) mount them either at 3+ or 4+ and dont get them mounted at ski market they dont really understand where to mount the ski where u tell them to. at least thts what happend to me.

what if you ski half park and half groomers?

the real question is...do you carve or skid?

if you know how to turn you need slightly more tip than tail otherwise your weight transfer through the ski gets messed up and you start over flexing your skis (if they are centered)...

also how fast do you ski switch...if yopur carving railroad tracks backwards down groomers you may want to consider moving +3 to +5 if you just learning or dont know how to turn a center mount wont bother you at all...

i carve really good but im not very good switch... like i can ski to jumps with a bit of speed and land switch but i cant carve switch. So far +3 sounds pretty good

^ if you don't carve too hard it wont have any effect on overflexing though right?

But would I use it for good or evil?
I just don't know...

get them mounted +6 from the midsole. i had one pair mounted true center and they were sick and i have a apir mounted +6 and they are a little better for all around skiing.

ude i got mine at plus 4 and i dont do any park. i skied um in powder and moguls. there freckin sweet. if your a good skier it shouldn't matter about carveing if the mounted under 5. of course your weight has something to do with it. im 150.

thanks but when u say center mount do u mean like the true ski center or the sole center or w/e.

i'd go with +4 on the side mounting scale. thats good for park and as perfect as fujis will get for carving.

Measure true center, and then mount them 1cm back of that.

^ don't. they will carve like shit. true center is +12 on k2's. the factory team rides their skis at +7.5(core center) for park only. do not go any farther forward than +7.5.

^ he said that he doesn't ski only park. true center would be shit for that. anything forward of +7 would be shit for the rest of the mountain. and you are reccommending +12?

i have the same problem. i ski 95% of park. there the 169s, im around 5.4. i think i wanna mount them true center mount. should i tho??? will it mess with the geo and the flex??? would it be ok for park only???????

Mount them so u have the the same distance from the front of ur binding and the back of ur bindings(assuming u have the look bindings) like that the skis will be better in the park and u can carve much easier in the snow...the center mount allows a non shaped ski to carve easier.

dead true center

no reason to mount them any other way unless your a pussy who cant handle a lot of tail

Mine are at +7.5, I would reccomend mounting there. I ski them everwhere. Had them for 2 seasons, and still love them. I had them mounted at +4.5 but moved them up to 7.5 so I could ski switch better. It felt a bit strange skiing about 2 runs but then I got used to them. They ski the park awesome and they ski the mountain awesome. I love them in powder, they even work switch in powder(OMG!). The only thing I don't like skiing them in is when I get into heavy crud, but who likes skiing that anyway... I've heard people say on here they ride the park well and not groomers, I don't understand this thinking because the park is a groomer. If you are having a tough time skiing fujatives on groomers then you should get off twin tips and go take a lesson. My advice is only read the replies from kid's that own the skis because otherwise you're going to get all these little shits that read the writing under the ski on skiershop.com and think they know everything about your skis.

I'm getting some 06's and there going +6 - +7.5

Parkboy, can you post a pic of your skis. So I can see how it looks at +7.5
