Where should I live this summer?

Crested butte, the san juans, I liked Aspen/snowmass a bunch. I've lived in Tahoe the last few years and dig it but I'm sure it's more of a shitshow in the summer.

Idk i dont hate boulder. I've hung out there a bit, but more in denver unless seeing music uo there. If you like the outdoors and want to be in that area maybe check out Ned. Cloer to the mtns but still not that far from Denver.

Idk I value having some small town vibe even if not that small and touristy at times.

Also boulder traffic can suck hard(even though same can be said for lots of places at the wrong time)

Ive never lived in the PNW but have heard good things. Montana, idaho, Wyoming have some cool areas.

Like I said though maybe you want to be closer to urban areas or really like boulder. I just feel like boukder might have been better 10-15 plus years ago but it seems overrun, not really special and kind of a shit show.

Also the biggest thing is, no move needs to be permanent. You can move to boulder and love it and not leave. You can move to boulder and visit other places and move there. You can move somewhere else randomly.

I love the northeast and always like going back but I've love living in CO and CA the last 5 or 6 seasons. I skip summer so I'm not really the best to weigh in. Although road tripped, visitied, and temp lived across CO, UT, CA in the summer with some PNW mixed in.

Regardless of where you end up, hope you enjoy it and find some great people to kick it with and have some adventures. The world is your friggin oyster or whatever, send it.

I agree with 99.9% of this except do not live in Ned...grew up less than 8 miles from there and take my word for it you don't want to live there haha

Word. I've never lived there but have a friends there. Only been through a couple of times. Seemed like a nice place but really have nothing to offer about it other than nice looking areas and cool spots surrounding.

Totally..gonna be honest I might have a negative bias from basically growing up there. Years ago when I was there it was basically tweaker central, hopefully it's a little cleaned up now! Some of the lcore people in the community and locals are really terrific but I've had some bad experiences...hometowns amiright

Thinking I might make a vote thread, bracket and everything. Whats your suggestion for a spot

Go where there is jobs. Boulder means college kids your age and Denver job market which is great. And then the outdoors.

If you want to bartend forever go somewhere remote and compete with all the other locals for the scraps.

A summer gig is really all I'm looking for. I don't need a 40 hour/week internship or anything, I just want a job where I can make some money while also meeting some people to hang out with

Find a hostel in bc and work in reception! Perfect for meeting people

I met people at Mammoth that were working at the hostel. Free housing seems like a plus.
