mammoth is a nice mountain but it's not whistler . . . plus the town of whistler is a hell of a lot more fun than mammoth. it'll be good either way

if you're on the east coast, go to Killington for the massiveness, then hit Jay Peak and Okemo

Jay is the best mountain i have ever skiied......

it rocks, but it's no West Coast Skiing

What kind of skiing are you looking at doing?? If you're interested, the best thing to do would be to head to the Western Alberta/ British Columbia area and spend time in a few spots. Fernie, Banff, and Whistler are all pretty close. And while you're at fernie you may as well head to Big Sky Montana, and since big sky is less than a day's drive from Jackson Hole Wyoming....what the hell, DO IT! If you head to that part of North America the snow typically follows patterns.....not to mention you can read forecasts, and generally you're not too much more than a day's drive away from the next place. I've done that routine a few times and it's damn fun :)

If you wanna stay in one spot for two weeks I would say Whistler/Blackomb is your best option. Tohoe is fun too but that's completely different conditions. With lake Tahoe you, again, have multiple resorts within a few hours. Tahoe is nice because certain resorts offer certain skiing conditions and atmospheres. Rather, you can ski big mountain one day and find a nice park the next.

I think it also depends what time of year your going?

colorado wouldnt be bad cause there are tons of resorts all very close to each other, but i would suggest whistler. even if the snow isnt falling there, the park and town make up for it

Booo Colorado! I live here, it sucks. The snow is variable, the resorts are crowded. If you want to ski real steeps and go to Colorado, go to Crested Butte or Telluride. Say the hell away from Summit County (breck, copper, keystone, vail....)

SMS Session 2!

if you don't care about the town/nightlife or spending money, go to mammoth. but whistler would be cheaper and the town is sick. (just watch how much you drink there, cause then it gets expensive...really expensive)

everyones right on the money here...stratton,jay,killi,okemo etc for the east mammoth and whistla on the west
