Where it all started

Skiers and snowlerbladers were progressing at the same rate, at the same time... until like 2001 or 2002 when the sport of snowlerblading reached an identical spot to where it is now, and stopped progressing

Snowlerblading didn't starts newschool by any means. sorry.

r u kidding me. this was before twin tips were ever made and this is what started the twin tips with all the progressive moves and grabs. then twin tips were made and all of these moves were transfered over to that.

fail. they were both started at about the same time, just because you saw more kids on blades than on twintips doesn't mean that blades came first. boarding influenced both, but then you have to remeber that skiers invented snowboarding. so yeah, skiers basically own everything.

true fact, without skiing, there would be no snowboarding, but without snowboarding there would be no twin tips. Well they probably would be around but the sport in general would be like 20 years back

Two Planker Knuckle Draggers!

fuck yeah dude, with Mike Nick and Pete Mitholhefer, Eric Pollard, Mike Wilson.... who else? Nicky Adams made an appearance in there too.

I watched that video all the time in 7th grade. My parents wouldn't get me a pair of twin-tips and the dude a the shop gave them the 'well skiboarding is just as big, and you can do the same stuff for a lower price...'

... so I ended up a snowlerblader for one winter, watching this video, haha.

i made it 13 seconds into that video and then quickly decided that i am not a homo and i do not enjoy sitting on my thumb or wasting my life.

haha lol, "I´m a homo"............"are you serious" hahahaahaaaa how did he already knew that snowblading becomes so fuckin gay haahaaa thats hilarious

dude, come on. I agree with 99 percent of your angry posts, but snowlerblading ran concurrent with newschool.

Roots of "newschool" style tricks in snowsports came from snowboarding, which came from skateboarding. I think just about the only thing that snowlerbladers really progressed before skiers was urban, and that would have happened anyways.

We all know that skogen, mike nick, EP or whoever else used to snowlerblade, but that's just a few people that had any influence on newschool skiing in general.

i've never done it or anything, but i think it could have turned out to be just a legit a sport as freeskiing. there's nothing wrong with it at all, except for the fact that people think its so gay that nobody gets really amazing at it anymore. looks like it could be really fun, i'm not gonna lie. if freeskiing was as small a sport as snowlerblading right now, and snowlerblading was as big as skiing, i don't think freeskiers would have any steeze for the most part. it would be the other way around. give it some respect.

I didn't deny the association, but snowlerblading did not LEAD to newschool. Skiers and snowlerbladers were doing the same things at the same time.

I'm not hating on snowlerblading, but the idea that snowlerblading is "where it all started" is not true.
