i really miss skiers who does films like technine.. all about urban drops killer rails. who\where are they ? yeah we got wallisch and those, but not a real "homie gangster super duper yo in ma crib how ya doin crew.. THeed and mic are missing.... they should come back with there "homie gangster super duper yo in ma crib how ya doin" steeze.

uhhh yeah we really dont need people like that in skiing, i agree that we need more creative urban stuff other than just the same dfd urban rail with a 270 out. that shit got old like 3 years ago, we need more wall rides, creative drops, stalls, small jib's, and more creative urban jumps.
but you dont have to be confused about your race to do that.
 
Jea, where are those dudes at? I wanted to see them rip up the industry and it seems like the momentum is just gone. 9thward, come back!!!
 
I'm just wondering, does anyone else think this whole gangster scene shit is played out? Maybe it's because I live in what you guys might consider the "hood," but I think it's a waste of time. Originality is better. Everyone can put on XXL clothes and claim, few can branch out. I'm surprised none of you are bored of this yet..
 
skiers are too close minded to accept ninthward into the industry. everyone is still hyped on doing the exact same tricks (refer to tricks done in the poorboyz jib jam...rodeo 450 on 270 out of a flat down box, that was cool like, 3 seasons ago?).

i don't care if there are people like that in the industry, it would just be cool to see some sort of variety. too bad ninthward seems to be the only company with the balls to differentiate themselves from the sport and stick to their origins.

funny thing is, i bet ninthward is having the most fun.

If you're looking for ridiculous urban...Frank Raymond. If you're looking for rich white kids unaware of their rich whiteness...eh, I'm not gonna say it.

But as Andy said, no crew of skiers has ever made urban look as good as snowboarders - I think a select few individuals have (Raymond, Will Wesson, Ahmet Dadali...), but no whole "crew."

Although if you literally want the techine ski crew, I'm pretty sure Chris Biollo films with FODT. And he's sick with a capital SICK.

yup, i agree. im not too into the whole gangster thing, but as skiers, i think they are one of the coolest companies out there, they just do what they want and ski for themselves,
same thing with surface, they really have their own style and they stick to it nomatter what other people say. skiing needs more people like this, right now the only way you can be cool is if your doing super technical crap and treating skiing like the super bowl.

i would be ashamed to say i was a freestyle skier if every ski movie was like that...i miss the good ol days where ski movies had punk/rock and roll music in them.
 
word to that cold world wa da iliest snow movie of the year and echnine is the Gist company out there... we definatly need some goon town skiers and way more bredshaw shit...wallisch and 4 bi 9 r the closest but they jump too good like in cold world goon has one jump and its thesickest segggy...haha but that shit goo and them do is ill because jumps on snow boards are half as cool as rails on snowboards which are way more g than rails on skis....yadadamean

yeah agree, but look at technine and then ninthward... technine are sooo good technine are only skiers doing 270 on 270 out with style and big 180 and cork 5, technine are out there makeing the sickest movies with the sickest drops crazy creativity and mind blowing other creativ stuff that skiiers dont do... and they got good films, that ninthward dont..
 
haha fuck that last i wrote, evetything got fucked... wrote technine on everything also where it should have been ninthward.. but jeah i think we need a new and creativ crew!

ninthward does what they want and they dig life, other people and companies hate on them and whine and complain about "what is skiing coming to" well get over it, dont worry about them, worry about youreself. every other company has 1 or 2 ghetto riders and they kinda play it down when they join the team, but ninthward says "Here, this is what we are, take it or leave it. we dont give a fuck about what you think anyway." them giving out 0's at the masters a few years ago was golden, who else would have the balls to do that? everyone else thinks it, they do it. thats the 9ward difference
 
I think you are confusing a claim with an opinion. Even if I didn't live where I do, I'd have the same exact opinion. A claim would be if I said how badass I might be for being where I am. Even if rocker style got hot out of nowhere and everyone had it I'd go against that just because I advocate originality over following whatever is easiest.
 
I don't even know why you guys think 9thward was ever gone. They make some of the sickest product, and they have a ridiculous team, from Henrik Harlut all the way to Nick Greener. 9thward isn't just Mikael.
