Where is the snow in the Alps?

So I came from the States to Grenoble, France for the semester and I was wondering if anywhere in the alps has good snow right now? It seems like its shitty pretty much everywhere right now. Fuck this global warming bullshit

It's pretty shitty yes, but we can't complain if you compare to the pyrenees or east coast america. Right now it's best around the Laax/ Davos / St. Anton region. I will most definitely be riding fresh pow in Laax this weekend.

Check the article from Laax on the front page.

was up in tignes (part of same area as val d'isere) yesterday and its pretty good... not waist high powder, but definetly rideable... they had about 20cm of fresh yesterday morning.

go to this website http://www.skinets.com/ and select any of the resorts from the menu bar on the left of the screen. These are some of the best ski resorts in Europe, certainly in France, most of which are easily accessible from Grenoble, and each site has up to date and detailed snow reports written by people in the resorts and also webcams and 3 day weather/snow forecast.

If you're in Grenoble, then resorts near you are pretty good in relation to the rest of the alps. 2 Alpes has not bad snow at the moment, and Montgenevre is looking really good.

I'm in Montgenevre next week with a group of skiers, you should head up.

Is there any public transit from Grenoble to Montgenevre? I don't have much class next week so I will definitely head up if my skis are mounted by then.

i dont know about Montgenevre.. but you should definitely go les2alpes.. there are buses every day, :) park is pretty good, cuz almost nothing is going on around there.. and you can catch some BC..too

...and yeah fuck global warming..

one good day in the Arlberg right after new years, then it started raining the next day, kept raining... its supposed to rain some more, then get sunny and warm.

sweeeet!
