Where is Simon Dumont?

**Prepare's for haters.**

I think Simon Dumont doesn't deserve to have fame. Sure he is really good. And he does some cool stuff.

But he is a complete asshole.

He got beat by a 16 year old kid who probably looked up to Dumont all his life. The least he could do is congratulate the kid. But no, he cries about it like a bitch.

Dumont has acted like a douche for a while. I don't think he deserves fame.

Like it or not he is probably in the top 10 skiers ever, so I think he deserves the fame after what he has done in our sport. Also r.e the video, wouldn't you be disappointed with dubiously missing out on a better placing. It shouldn't matter about Torins age and him being not happy it is an adult competition so everyone should be treated the same

HOW MANY THREADS DO WE NEED EACH AND EVERY DAY IN REGARDS TO THE WHEREABOUTS OF PRO SKIERS. WHERES ADAM DELORME? WHERES JON BROGAN? WHERES SIMON DUMONT? HOW ABOUT THE OP'S OF THESE THREADS GO AND DO SOME RESEARCH ON THEIR OWN..... AND BY THE LETS GO SKI SOME REAL MOUNTAINS WITH REAL ROCKS, AND REAL SNOW. I LOVE TYPING IN ALL CAPS, IT GIVES ME A SENSE OF FREEDOM OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. HAVE A NICE DAY, AND PLEASE DON'T THINK IM YELLING. THATS WHAT BOLD IS FOR.

I do, but T-Hall beat us to it. And as far as this thread goes, Dumont is an awesome skier but unfortunately he is a poor sport crybaby bitch and he deserves to have his chest shit on!

Yeah, I would be dissapointed. Ever see in slopestyle from back in '08 or something. There was 1 person left. That person took the lead with his final run. The person in first was bumped out of the gold spot. So, he hugs the guy and they all mob him. They are stoked that he had a great run. Simon should be stoked about young rippers like Torin doing well.

Start at 0:55:

This is how skiing should be. Jossi was stoked that Hatveit had a sick run and beat him.

The anger was not towards Torin, if judges took lets estimate 50k from you would you be pissed? I would.. I watched the very next weekend when Torin fell at FIS world championships in PC, Simon was the first one at bottom of the pipe to walk up and say your crushing it man keep your head up after he didn't qualify.

I know the anger wasn't towards Torin. But c'mon. The sport is about encouraging people. He still shouldn't have acted the way he did.

And I did not hear about that story. But that's nice that he did that.

To be honest he probably is past his best. He has been a top level skier for the last decade, but things cant go on for ever. Look at the problems he had finding a sponsor before this season. Dropped by salomon, and then not sure how many people know but he was turned down by head 3 times before they agreed to sponsor him.

He has had a great carrer but I daubt there is much more in him. But who knows he may prove me wrong.

He was 8th at X and 7th overall in Dew Tours. He's still in the top 10 pipe skiers on the planet and at this point its all about landing your run. He's definitly not out of the game, maybe hurt right now. He's definitly not filming all the time or going to every comp, he focus on pipe training and he only do the major comps (X and Dew). Overall focusing on being ready for Olympics.

as for the torin winning simon, i think simon would of had won. torin didnt spin in both directions that much as simon and simon had better garbs etc. but thats just my opinion and when this is judgment competition, there will always be much criticsm.

It's wrong to say simon doesent deserve the fame. He has been killing the pipe with tanner for long time. Ofc he deserves it. I agree he can sometimes be little douche, but he still gets vibes from me.

i dont think wanting to win makes him an asshole. he's probably the most competitive guy in skiing. wanting to win is not the same as being a dick, and just because no one else in skiing cares about winning the same way he does doesn't make him a bad person. also, if i remember correctly, he did congratulate torin eventually, maybe not as enthusiastically as you'd like, but he did it.

yeah i recently got fucked over by judges, its the worst feeling. i really think that simons run was better. in the video of jossi and andreas, andreas's run was better, which is why jossi was stoked for him.

Just a question... Is there ONE competitive sport where the defeated is happy for the winner ? Have you ever seen a soccer player congratulating his opponent for having beaten him just after the final whistle ? Guess no...

I don't necessarily agree with Dumont's actions but he kills it. Watching him lap Keystone's park this January was amazing. He was throwing the sickest shit. He deffinitely is not out of his prime.

anyone remember when Tanner Hall tackled Xavier Bertoni when he ended tanner's three year gold medal streak? haha "you just won xgames dude!"

yep and thats how most skiers are in comps if you really deserve the win because as a rider you usually xan tell the top three by just watching

i heard he overshot the pipe and landed in the trees. he consequently lost that comp something snapped and now he hikes around the utah wilderness stealing food out of cabins and defacing peoples religious art. thats just what i heard the other day out at chads

as much as tanner is an ass at times, shit like that is how newschool skiing should be. The sport has no place for crybabies like dumont, what a clown

Meh... this might enable other less known skiiers to bloom. This sport's not only about Wallisch and Dumont.

Yes, yes i have seen the defeated team congratulating the winners. Im not saying competetive sports are pointless but its pointless to get so raged after losing- shows how u can't handle losing. Fortunately in skiing, seems like it's a tight community and everyone's happy for the winner most of the time.
