Where is Kent Kreitler!

I had heard of him before but only after watching Reverence did I really get to know more about his impact on skiing. It was also great seeing interviews with McConkey, CR, Coombs, Jones, froom way back...
He seems to have disappeared off the ski movie radar after 2005. Did he just get fed up?
Also wonder how many kids know about him on this site.. all the old threads about him are from 2005 or earlier.

Kreitler has a yoga re-treat down in Panama that he has been working on. You see him at Squaw in the winters, and he is still Kent Kreitler.

Jeez these threads are annoying. Just because you remembered someone who used to be in the ski industry and isnt anymore does not mean you should make a thread. Like really, you dont actually care what the dude is doing with himself, you just want to make a thread and sounds cool.

Not at all. I was genuinely interested in what happened to him. I had a quick google and found nothing so went to NS and the other poster told me and wasn't a complete dick, unlike you.
I figured there might also have been a pretty interesting story behind the reason why he stopped appearing in films when McConkey and Morrison appeared in films years later.

Took a few years off skiing on a serious level, but he's back into it this year he has some new European ski and outerwear sponsors. Yeah Kent!! Welcome back man

You could not be more wrong. I am actually interested in what one of the pioneers in our sport is doing. Kreitler is one of the best skiers ever. He was a truly dominant big mountain skier, who could also ski the park. I think he was a better skier than just about anyone current. He deserves credit for being one of the first freeskiers, all the young guys out there now who are making a pay check from skiing owe him a debt of gratitiude.

Watch his performance in some of the old TGR movies. Watch him kill it in Uprising, Harvest, Further, The Prophecy, Mind The Addiction....He really was one of the best ever. If you watch those segments and don't think he kills it, well you don't know what skiing is.

Reverance has some of the best footage I have ever seen.

Most of the current guys out there have a long way to go before they catch up to Kreitler.

I should correct myself, as I'm sure he still kills it now. Saying he killed it back then is correct, but implies he is not still killing it. I would rather watch Kreitler ski than anyone who skis for level 1.
