Where is a good place to ski in Europe early in the season (Jan 1-15)?

i went to chamonix last year around that time and we had snow but apparently it was an exeption and they usually dont get it that early
 
I've been to valdisere that time (Jan 1-7) for the past two years. The snowlayer is not super big but its skiable for sure, be prepared for alot of rocks in the off pist though. There's really no parks up at this time either. Generally any resort that has skiin at a high altitude works: Val thorens, Verbier, Zermatt etc.
