Where i think park and urban skiing should be headed

yeah, like this:

i agree but u gotta keep in mind. not every snowboarder is doing creative things, e.g. shaun white still is spinning like a bottel cap and theres people that meet him in the middle.

so scott stevens is doing what he likes shaun is doing what he wants.

if you dont like doing huge spins dont then

if you do carry on spinning. mike henituk is doing what hes doing and i think its real dope.

i think skiing has gone abit to far in doing 1000 switch ups on a rail but if thats what they want to do im not ganna stop them.

"Where I think skiing should be headed"

Skiing needs to head to a place where no one is deciding where it needs to be headed. We need to diversify. Spin to win, doubles, slow and steezy, Scott stevens type shit, tight, baggy, everywhere in between. we need some fucking variety

this is what im fucking talking about! everyone quit being so fucking defensive and lets have a fucking discussion. stop hting on allen, he didnt do shit. you just like to arbitrarily attack every word he says keep the fucking hate train going tride.

i made this thread because i wanted to express my opinon that SKIING NEEDS TO OPEN UP TO NEW IDEAS AND STOP BEING SO STAGNANT. im entitled to my opinion whether you like it or not.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME HATING ON HUCKING INTO RAILS AND OUT OF THEM AND SPINNING TO WIN. THATS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY AND IM TIRED OF HEARING YOU GUYS ARGUE STUFF THAT IM NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

fuck NS why so much fucking hate?

THIS WHOLE THREAD IS HERE BECAUSE OF SKIERS HATING ON OTHER SKIERS WHO ENJOY DOING THE MORE CREATIVE TECHNICAL SKIING BECAUSE ITS "GAY".

please fucking read that or im gonna break my knuckles on the fucking wall.

because, believe it or not, a couple kids who ski at their local mountains as much as possible are not going to "change" skiing, whatever the hell that means. get off your high horse, skiing is skiing.

im not going to insults.

who the fuck said im trying to change skiing singlehandedly? i give the fuck up.

i totally agree that skiing should be all about having fun, but i think near all rollerblade grinds look kinda odd. dont get me wrong, there so much fun (brokens are one of my most favoritest tricks) but i downt want people to be going all, hey lets give the most points to the guy who can break their ankles the fastest.

Dude chill out, no need to start punching holes in your walls or anything, i understand thats what you were trying to say but its easy to get the interpretation that alota of kids were getting based on the beginning of the thread. i think skiing is already making a shift in the direction you are talking about, look at outdoor education, hot lunch, head for the hills, hunting yeti, and even journal, all of which have that fun vibe of just riding with your friends. These are some of my favorite movies of the year but i still loved turbo, get lucky, such is life and reasons. I like the epic movies as well as those that just have a fun vibe, and theres alota that in the snowboard industry as well if you look at thats it thats all. People are opening up to new ideas, but theres no particular need for others that just want to pretzel to start skiing like parry, everyone should just do what they want, and have fun, which is what your saying its all about, so just chill.

non skiing sections skiers should watch:

Chris Cheshire - Underestimated (rollerblade)

Chris Haffey - Killer Boots (rollerblade)

Daewon Song - Rodney Vs Daewon (skate)

Taj Burrow - Passion Pop (surf)

I totally agree with you guys on this one. I love what asian_allen is doing. It's great to see 2 sports integrated into one. I also love what the guys from Idea did too. There was not one trick that was flailed. Everything so smooth.

I've been trying to work on getting down nose and tail presses, and just overall, relax on skis. Also, there have been a lot more skiers that have been "playing" around, with stuff just like handplanted butters, and other stuff like that. That stuff makes me want to ski so much more than a thugged out segment where everyone is serious. Skiing to me, is about having fun, and by doing these tricks, make it seem as though the skiers are enjoying themselves and not being pressured into doing the standard tricks, like pretzels, and switch-ups.

Just my opinion, and next time I hit a rail, I'm goin to try that super dope thing that asian_allen does when he leans back on the back edges of both skis on a rail, while still standing up. Great work bud, keep up the good work.
