dont do it. grind on the skis and they will automatically detune. give a week or so and they'll be blunt.

what people have said is right, they will detunre themselves super quick if you hit alot of rails, but i had a bad incident with sharp edges on rails, so i detune all of my skis right underfoot so about an inch infront and behind of the bindings

yep, just about to say that, also, because of the sharpe edges, if you don't land flat on the bases, it creates a direct point where the pressure of impact hits, creating a weak point in the edge that is prone to breakage. the rounded edge makes it so you land more smoothly and do not land at one small point of the edge.

I dont condone detuning as a general rule, I find it unnessary and the chances of damaging the ski is high, especially if you dont have much or any experience with ski tuning and repair. If you are however going to detune the ski you want to use a fine course metal file.
DO NOT USE A RASP/BASTARD FILE it will destroy your edge entiraly if used improperly. First take a black sharpie and color the 1ft section of edge in the center or underfoot of the ski. Take the file at aprox. 45deg to parallel of the base and apply light pressure as you draw and cross draw the file( to you, then away from you) back and forth. Because you are detuning the ski cross drawing( pushing file away) is ok. Do this untill you can notice a new side forming on the edge. Once the edge has 3 sides from detuning you want to take a finer file and apply it to the corners of the new side and round them off. Again be very gentle, continue this untill the felt marker is completly or nearly gone, OR you feel the edge and decide that it is good enough.
BEFOR YOU DECIDE TO DO THIS realise that you are removing a noticable amount of edge and if you ever chose to make the edge sharp again you will lose a substancial amount of edge doing so.
