Where do you get your weather forecasts?

What websites do you guys use to see the snow forecast? I use the NOAA website but I know there are others out there.

Opensnow is great. At least in Colorado. Joel Gratz is very legit. If you live in PNW, Utah, CO, opensnow is a great tool.

And lastly, the CAIC (Colorado Avalanche information center). All avalanche centers for the most part are great and have snowpack, forecast discussions that are helpful.

Friends of mine call Snow Forecast "Stoke Forecast" because it always overestimates precipitation and gets you too stoked. Still what I usually use though.

In Canada I've been recommended Spot Wx, which can also work for more remote zones for touring if there's no resort recording info.

Really wish I could head to Eastern Townships for tomorrow/Monday. Some forecasts are calling for 60+ cm there. 15-20 cm here, so not awful.

The Tahoe guy (Brian?) Is pretty good, he uses a blend of different models and gives a pretty specific forecast for each area of the Tahoe basin.

Not really, Joel does a ton of independent work, and goes into the why of his forecasts which is great for someone like me. I don’t know what region you’re in, and I’m sure in some places there’s some copy pasting going on, but Joel Gratz in CO is mationally respected.

It’s not all about precip forecasts.
