Just wondering how you all get your news. Personally, I cant stand TV news outlets, so I stick to the web-based news (mainly BBC and NY Times). What about you? Do you pick up the paper every morning, watch it on TV, check out web blogs, go to legit web-based news outlets, or what?

My university has free USA Today and ill snag peoples NY times who don't pick it up after a day or so.

Yahoo is my homepage so ill check that news every once in a while

having CNN or FOX on as background noise sometimes during the evening hours

mostly reading the paper, a great way to pass the time while on lunchbreak.

NY times for the paper, and all the usual websites for teh internet; BBC, CNN, Yahoo, and so on. As for TV, I like to watch late shows.

i scan the newspapers and thats about it...I didnt even hear about the volcanoes until the ns update haha it was sad

NY Post in the morning for the bullshit local and sports news, google news feed and other various internet sources throughout the day. i go thru phases of reading the wall street journal and the NY Times. For work related news I read the Observer or go on curbed.com or therealdeal.com.

Forgot to add that my school gets the NY Times as well, so i scan it occasionally in the mornings. I also watch the daily show sometimes, but hardly for its news content.

BBC, The Guardian and the Financial Times.

As much as a I love TV and internet news, nothing beats a solid broadsheet.

NPR in the mornings, and usually the local paper

CNN, Yahoo, MSNBC, Google for news online

but my favorite:

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams -- Can't beat 'em

facebook status updates

naw seriously though, the national on cbc and just scanning around on the internet, and i actually do get some news from newschoolers every once in a while if i missed something

Seattle Times and Puget Sound Business Journal are my regulars. I'll peek in to a New York Times, Washington Post or Wall Street Journal from time to time though.

the week. its probably the best news magazine there is. they summarize the news stories of the week, all the way down to the best editorials, and take the best of pretty much everything: articles, gossip, tabloid stories, funny news, cartoons, its all there. and while it may sound like the cliff notes of news, for the stupid people, its actually written quite intelligently and is in no way dumbed down. i highly recommend it, as somebody who much prefers to read their news then hear it.

BrewskiJr: GO MIAMI! what the fuck is your name so we can go ski together.

I actually just wrote this down in the "useful sites thread." wsj.com is a great source for news, at least as a business student. I feel like the business side of things allows for less spin on the issues. Maybe they just speak my language though.

check it out, its usually very helpful and insightful.

NPR

or

John Stewart taken with a heaping portion of salt

all other news sources (besides cross referencing an article on the internet) is garbage.

If you watch Fox news you are mentally retarded. I will not back down from this statement so fuck off.
