Where do you find high quality people???

It's cool to be around people you value that are all the same as you but it's hard to come by and like dingo said, ski towns definitely aren't it and honestly having childhood friends you still regularly see is cheating a bit cuz I'm a bit biased.

Why not try meeting people outside of this scene? Honestly most people I've casually talked about skiing with who were the most stoked were people who didn't ski at all or have gone a few times. Why not show others some cool stuff
 
It is very hard, its kinda the reason that I mostly ski/bike alone, like yea its fun to shred with homies but especially living in the midwest the volume of skiers/bikers is low and makes it hard to assemble a good crew of real peeps that are more than just fair-weather ski friends. Honestly I just kinds stick to my own vibe and if I come across somebody that that vibe clicks with its great, but If I catch the vibe that somebody is kinda fake I really just stop giving my energy there, id much rather be on my own that with annoying mfs or people that dont really give a shit.

Ive probably made my best friends by just sticking to my own guns and that'll attract people that can be legit homies
 
Find them on this underwater skiing forum or take a bunch of Benadryl and ski with the shadow homies
 
Made some good friends skiing,fishing, hiking so in activities you enjoy doing, offer someone a beverage or some herbage.
 
I generally just look for nice and trustworthiness as my first pre requisites for a friend. You kind of can tell if someone is genuine pretty quick. I think some people get blinded by thinking “oh they’re so cool and fun because they do x, y and z and were friendly” without trying to judge if their friendliest is genuine
 
whenever im lonely i go take a shit in an alleyway till the boys in blue come by for a chat

id say theyre pretty high quality folks always
 
I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and decide in 20 seconds if we're gonna hang, I expect them to give me 15.
