if you really need to reccomend your pants I will gladly comply assuming you pay airfare.

anyways im making a new knife and instead of going through the forging process like I would normally I going to see what kind of quality i can get by just using a piece of steel.

the problem stands though. where might i find this mystical piece?

so any suggestions?

also opinions on the idea? yay, nay, cosplay?

because i have done that about 20 times already im tired of the generic folders, and fixed blades.

plus with this idea i can be original.

i like bali-songs but their illegal... like fucking everywhere....... and I have the tendency to carry my knives.

im obviously making a fixed blade.

i'm also in teh process of modifying old folders.

just buying knives/guns gets old after a while.

so buy soem new ski gear instead,.

or smoke some bud.

or watch some porn.

you wont miss havnt a homemade knife at all

you could stop being a redneck!

nah jk, but i have no fucking idea. go to blacksmith.com or something.

I know a junkyard here sells lots of industrial steel and cast iron in all shapes and sizes. I think finding stainless steel to play with on your own might be a little more challenging though. Try hardware stores they should have it

This is way more complex than you think. The metal must be tempered. If not, it will not hold any sort of edge. Yes, it is possible to buy metal and make your own, but you really need to work with heat, so basically forging. An option I would suggest would be to buy a quality knife blade that fits what you are thinking, then build the "knife" around it. Make the handle and all that. Do a little searching and you'll find there are many forums that deal with this kind of thing. Good luck!
