Where can you buy large pvc pipe for a backyard setup?

I'm trying to make a backyard summer setup and I want to get a large pvc tube to slide but I cant seem to find them anywhere. I've checked stores like Home Depot, Rona and even a plumbing company and I have had no luck with it. Any ideas? asking for a friend

For large diameter tubing on any kind of reasonable budget your best bet is to go down to a construction site or where contractors are installing piping in a road somewhere and ask if they have any scrap pieces, cuts, cracked or crushed tubing.

If money is not a hurdle you should be able to get it at an irrigation Supply house or industrial plumbing Supply place.

How big are you hoping to find?

I don't really know what size i'm looking for I just want to find something that I can store easily and isn't super heavy but thank you for the suggestion I will try that.

you have to get a bunch of your buddies together and go steal it from a construction site. It's a newschoolers tradition

Go to the dumpster or behind any construction site, tons of good tubes and wood to use. If you ask a worker, I guarantee they will find something for you that would just get thrown away

Idk where you buy em but they’re free at most construction sites- just drive up after operation hours and throw some in the back of your car, they’re totally fine with it trust me.

Check Facebook or Craigslist. I got 2x 14 x 12” diameter tubes For $40 years ago. Stuff isn’t cheap brand new. Don’t be a scumbag and steal it from a jobsite. The larger diameter stuff goes for 160+ a piece depending on location

I don’t steal stuff so don’t have to worry about that catching up to me ;)

catch you trespassing on my job site and you’ll have some explaining to do to the police

Don't bother stealing. Just ask and you'll probably get something. Same goes for wood. It's crazy how much construction sites throw away. If your willing to spend a bit of time removing nails and to get creative using imperfect pieces you can build pretty much anything for free

IF you catch us trespassing, is what you meant to say.

I work sometimes at big construction sites, other times at smaller residential job sites.

Big construction sites are mad chaotic with a shitload of different contractors, tons of trash everywhere, harvesting pvc from those places is good to go.

Smaller residential job sites are usually only one or two contracting companies and they will notice if something disappears. I would avoid/respect those places.

I stole mine from my highschool with like three friends and we carried it like a mile home. We also got the turf for the setup from the football fields rip
