I think Boyd got injured early in the 2003-2004 season in a halfpip comp. Tore his acl or mcl really bad and had to get it replaced. There was a freeze or freeskier spot on it, and said he was geting a pig tendon transplant or something. I guess it didn't work out. He's still my favorite rider.
