Where are the storms?

Why aren't we getting any storms? Oregon and Washington are still getting dumped on with storms predicted every week, Why aren't they making it to us yet? I know its early in the season but we're getting record highs here. Is this global warming thing for real? Anyway props to Boreal for bringing it to us so early in the season, I hope you make it until they come.

keep praying/hoping/chanting/dancing or whatever you do to bring the storms. Shastatahoe should pull his weiner outta old man winters ass so he can drop a huge dump (c;

Storms are heading in for northern AND southern california over the next couple of days... be prepared resorts, now you need to finally open..

^sadly it does not look like much will hit us. But hopefully we get some good snow making time back at least.

i have been watching NOAA like crazy... it was so sad.. it said we were getting two storms one day.. then the next day i checked and it said we are getting no snow... i heard heavenly might not even open... and kirkwood isnt opening this weekend either.... really really sad :(

Nope.. Nothing at all for Tahoe. Maybe some cold weather so resorts like Boreal and Heavenly can make snow, but thats about the extent of it all. Nothing significant anywhere up here. Guess we will just have to keep riding that slow ass castle peak chair till further notice..

As for SoCal.. you lucky bastards are getting dumped on right now.. at least above 7000 feet. NOAA is predicting around a foot today at Mt. High and the rest of the SanGabs.. which is plenty enough for that place to open up 90% of anything.

I'd assume Mammoth is getting plenty of snow right now as well...

so im from australia and moving to tahoe in 1 day for the season. i have a season pass for squaw but does anyone no when it will be open? do they make snow like boreal?

I'ld say there is around 6 inches of fresh snow around town in Mammoth right now, seemed more like 8 inches when I was on the mountain around 3:30 today. Only more to come!

They dont have quite the snowmaking potential that boreal has.. mainly because its much more spread out. THey use it merely to cover trouble spots on the mountain run, really.. They will be open when it snows a bit more... be patient.. it will come.

I'm so stoked I got to snag a pass there this year as well... I grew up skiing there all the time.. It will be nice to return. Anyone else getting a squaw pass?

Maybe an inch more as the tail end of the storm moves out....then into next week it's going to heat up again. 70's in bishop and 80's in so cali. No storms predicted into the end of december. I was trying to think positive but this winter is starting to stress me out.

yea for sure dude. everyone chill. things aren't going super good right now. it snowed like 2 feet the first week of november. but unfortunatly things kinda dried out. its ok, the first day of winter is december 22. things look like there gonna get going a little late this year as far as our ski resorts all getting open. but I remember in years past when it started late and then turned into a super snowy cold year!!!! lets hope for that!!!!

That's the right idea. I'd rather take a bunch in the middle of the season than a few spurts spread over 6 months. *fingers crossed*

I'm blaming Jason Arens for shaving his moustache...

He has failed all of us, by not appeasing the snowgods with his dirty upper lip fuzz.

this makes me happy
