Where are skis made?

I know K2 is in china, but what about the other companies? I'd like to buy a canada / US made product. Line is in the US / canada thing right? what about 4frnt, armada, and so on?

^ You probably wont go anywhere unless you have a ski press nearby, which i luckily do and dont have to spend 10 grand to make skis.

the majority of skis are made overseas...and for our benefit

if k2 kept production in Vashon your PE would cost alot more...

using k2 as an example...their skis are still designed in the USa, the first "test" boards are made in the US and US designers in China make their skis

no big deal just basic economics...or would ya rather fork out 600$ for a pair of twin tips????

 
just make your own press for $200 and then make a pair of skis for under $150. and then stop wondering where big companies make their skis because it won't matter any more.

Imagine the ns outcry if u(lateralis) were banned. There would be countless threads and petitions to bring u back, it would be like when treadway got banned from whistler. Someone would probably make and sell 'Free Lateralis' stickers and shit. -j
 
I believe Line skis are now in China, Which is why the Invaders and other skis will be so much cheaper!

Finally, someone got it right!

Anyways, quality-wise, it really doesn't matter on the location. You can make skis just as well in China as you can on Vashon.

armadas are pressed in the E.U. line is moving their production to china*from what i have heard). 4frnt i belive is still pressed in the US.

 
you can make your own press by simply using aluminum tubing and a firehose (which you can get for super cheap).

OR you can buy a ski press for about $4000. But why bother when you can make one for less than $200 that will press a ski just as well?
