Where are ARMADA Skis Made?

network structuring, you'll learn about it if you ever attend a business school. they outsourced their production to atomic to lower their overhead costs.

in so many ways they already are. the similarities are startling. it's just that darling armada is a good ol' nor amurkan brand whereas coreupt is *gasp*.... french! hence the idiotic and predominantly inaccurate hate from so many teenyboppers on here who seem dismayed to discover that there is in fact a world outside minnesota.

Armada skis are definitely made in Austria out of the Atomic factory.

Of course they use their own molds, materials etc but most likely the same tech's, same presses...

A lot of outerwear companies outsource to China where multiple brands are made in the same factory.

armarda is austria

hell the only brands that are made in the us that i know of Surface, on3p, and moment

ya i know im probably wrong

I know it's been stated, but I am just confirming ATOMIC.
Armada is able to use Atomics "elf-foot" technology, ie. jp v.julien and the alpha series. That technology is patent by Atomic and they allow Armada to use it because they make their skis. This is a good thing.

The only companies to actually make their own skis (in NA) that I know of are:

ON3P skis

Praxis

PM gear (kinda)

Moment

Kingswood

Iggnious

Prior (Canada)

Folsom

Black Diamond

Obviously many of the big brands make their own skis:

Volkl: Germany or Austria, and China (non metal skis)

Atomic: Austria

K2: China

Dynastar: France and Spain

Blizzard: Austria

Rossignol: France and Spain

Salomon: Spain

Nordica: Austria

Skis made in other factories (still own molds/designs)

Armada (Atomic)

4FRNT (not sure anymore)

Surface (tech9 I think)

Line (K2)

Bluehouse (some one in China)

9thward (elan I think)

Boone (who knows, they don't say much)

I know there are more for each list, but thats all I could think of off the top of my head

are u sure that the elf-shoe technic belongs to atomic?

i read an older article, where it says, that the first time armada came with the idea of the elfshoe to the atomic factory...they laughed about that "stupid" idea....and it turned out to be great!

truth, last year at my shop we were unloading skis off the truck to put on the ski wall, and i was looking at the ar6's, and one of them had an atomic sticker on them

I know a few years back the 4frnt STLs were IDENTICAL in shape and design as the original Armada AR5s (I compared the two together and everything matched up except for the graphics)...Anyone else notice this?

I thought they were made by Elan but I think that is 9thward I was thinking of. It seems like Atomic and Elan make the majority of ski brands (of course there are a ton made by others/ themselves but...)

4frnt skis were originally made in Tahoe. Nowadays I know some models of their skis are made in a factory in Tunisia, not sure if all of them are made there though.

Unity makes there skis in Summit County Colorado. There is that company from Aspen also. I cent remember the name.

Armada skis are produced in the Atomic factory in Altenmarkt, Austria.
they're outsourcing their skis to the factory.

Well that's pretty silly reasoning to say the least....it actually has to do with them being identical to Dynastar's lame skis.

Armada currently used the atomic factory in Austria, after moving from Quebec. This is one of the reasons that there is similarities in construction and shapes of the skis. Take the bentchetler and jj. They have the same idea as far as sidecut and rocker, ect, and the construction is similar. One reason for using the atomic factory is it has a good rep for producing skis that are extremely durable and high quality, which is what armada wants

Atomic already have an infrastructure for building skis. Armada as a relatively new company are making a good decision in not spending a load in building a factory.
