I don't want to hear about someone dying because they weren't wearing a helmet. Wearing a helmet doesn't prevent head injuries it increases your chances of surviving a crash MUCH HIGHER.

Yesterday I my friend fell on a road he has ridden 100 time over. I don't know the details of the crash, all i know is i had to steal my moms car and call in a helicopter to save his life. I held my friends head and watched him bleed profusely from the back of his head. If there wasn't a helicopter to rush him to the hospital his chances of survival were slim and if he wore a helmet he would have never needed the helicopter.

Just wear a helmet, it really does save lives
 
Yeah he was riding downhill. He is an awesome guy and he made a three potentially fatal mistakes. One he got too comfortable on the hill (he rides it day in and out), two he was riding alone, and three he was NOT wearing a helmet.

He's recovering well, thankfully no brain damage. He is gonna have a long road to recovery though. He was in bad shape very yesterday. I couldn't go with him to the hospital but he's got family with him.
 
Vibes man. That happened to my cousins friend a few years ago, ended up having 1/3 of his skull removed for swelling for 6 months, 2 months in icu, and can never do any physical activity again. And he was just riding down the street on his skateboard. It's not that hard to wear one and it can really save lives
 
thought this was about motorcycles... but, if you fall off that bike without a helmet. you die.

hope your friend heals up quick and decides to wear a helmet from now on.
