When will you no longer buy a season pass?

As I grow older and come to the end of my college career I begin to question my dedication to skiing and it's priority in my life... Should I continue to base all my free days on skiing?

What about you? When will skiing take a backseat? When will you no longer buy a pass or new skis...

Yo OP that's a legit question, but if you find the right people to ride with, you'll find that their free days are spent on skiing too. Therefore you can spend quality time on the hill with people you like to be around. I'll stop buying a season pass when i'm too old to get out enough.

prolly never. but if i had this i would consider it: https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/680629/

depending on where you can land a job and the price of a pass, theres really no reason you cant ski your whole life. just do it. and if you cant afford the whole pass there's value cards or whatnot? it would hard to stop skiing alot if you ask me.

if you love skiing, never stop the dedication. seriously who doesnt respect the 70 year old guys shredding mogul runs and whatnot?

i think i will always have a pass and with the price of day tickets these days its worth it even if you only ski a few days

next year when i dont qualify for the under 23 pass and the price jumps from $349 to $900.

skiing is fun and all but certainly isnt my life, though it used to be. it will always be part of my life however. being poor and having skiing be your thing just sounds like a shitty life. i would rather be rich, take 1 or 2 really nice ski vacations every year and live where its warm.

i realized this after graduating from college with a so-so degree (natural resources). i struggled to find a job and decided i needed to go earn a degree that will get me into dental school so i can make a bunch of money. skiing became less important to me the more i realized i wanted expensive things

I imagine I'll have a pass or two for many many years to come. I might stop buying resort passes as soon as I buy a helicopter. That sounds good.

^^ who needs a bunch of money when you love your life? We all have different goals I personally couldn't imagine looking at people's teeth all day regardless how much money they gave me when I could provide for myself and be in a place were people go to enjoy themselves and dj what I love. Different people have different priorities.

havent bought a season pass in a couple years, but thats only because im at university (no car, so whenever i go skiing its when i can get a ride or take a bus) so i ski a few different places.

a jobs a job, might as well get paid a bunch to do it. i enjoy skiing. i also enjoy laughing at my friends who think they have an "in" in the industry because the sell boots to tourists and smooth jumps with rakes.

i would rather drive a porsche

but yea, we're all different. im not saying that anyones choices are wrong. i just dont want my life to revolve around a hobby.

When I end up touring so much that i barely pay off my pass (looking like that may happen this year) but as far as skiing goes... when my body can't take it anymore, which is hopefully a long ways out

^THIS.

Also when you have money its fun to ski at different hills all the time...I think this is my last year of having a season pass until I retire in a ski resort.

when my mind and body can no longer handle the stress skiing puts on, hopefully this time and when i cease living is very close or even the same moment

When I live somewhere skiing doesn't exist. Hopefully its when I'm 80, sippin gin and sittin on my ass on the beach in florida like a retired fuck holding onto the days till I die.

My grandpa's 81 and I got him a pass to sugarloaf/sunday river/loon for christmas.

I hope my grandchildren do the same

ill be dead before i ever think about not skiing. as far as the pass goes maybe if im alive at like 40 ill just take a year and skin all season

as long as i can ski enough days to cover the cost of a pass. i will buy one. the idea of buying a day ticket; that is for the birds

Mate, being rich and only working all the time is what makes for a shitty life. I am always broke and scrounging to make money due to the amount of time and money I dedicate to skiing, however the experiences I've had and the people I've met through skiing make me richer then all the money in the world could.

im bout to gopro as fuck and never need a pass again. people will see me coming and lift lines will part like the Red Sea

Your priorities are wack man. Not necessarily about skiing but it sounds like you are only looking for money to make you happy.
