When will the new Macbook Pro's be released?

Not having much luck finding this answer online, I figured there's probably some Newschoolers out there who have a better idea when this happens than I do... I know Apple usually releases an updated set of laptops at least once a year, but I don't know when in the year that is. I haven't really had much of an interest in Apple until just recently. I hear they are awesome for photo/film editing, which is what I'd be using it for most of the time. I also need a computer thats going to last. An OS change sounds pretty good, too!
I feel like my PC is on its last run- going on 6 years now! If they are releasing a new model soon, it'd work out awesome because I wouldn't have to wait much longer. If it's a while from now, i'll probably just cave and buy one thats already available. So would it be a better idea to wait? Thanks in advance!
 
Thanks for the info! Really hoping that delays not true... Might as well just wait anyways though. Probably dont want an older model, right?
 
I mean, the last released models will be similar to the newer one, the move from core duo to i5/i7 was a big jump and that has happened.
 
The new I-series are supposed to be up to 42 percent faster than the old ones of equal model.
 
the rumor is that new ones will be coming out in april. lightpeak, no cd drive, ssd storage, have been rumored at, and there will obviously have better performance, possibly with better battery, and or lighter. I read something about the new macbooks not using the newest intel processors because of conflicts with integrated graphics, but this won't affect the pros. I am planning on getting a 15" a month or two after they come out for college (to wait for reviews, and because I won't need it before then). Also, they will probably have a free upgrade to OS 10.7 (lion?) as it will be released this summer
