When will racing skis graphics get cool?

They're skiing too fast to be looking down and admiring the pretty pictures on their boards.

it's a valid question... why not make all ski graphics creative? actually... even if we forget about racing skis, why do so many all mtn. skis have lame graphics... the rossi B4 and the rest of the series for example.

The answer is... We need cool graphics to buy the skis. The average race buyer couldn't care less what they looked like. Plus they are generally older.

 
grafics asr cool but at the same time im poor i nead skis to be cheap if a company spends time and money just making there skis look cool well then.. thats going to drive up the price

i think i have the answer,

unlike most people on here, racers could really give a fuck less about what their graphics look like. if their skis will win them races does it really matter? same with park skis, if you like the way a ski rides, does it really matter what it looks like?

oh wait....silly me, you closed minded fucks wouldn't even try a ski if it didn't have a good looking graphic on it. my bad

^ No ski NEEDS a good graphic... but if any object can be a vehicle for expression, why shouldn't it? I'm glad that the people who make and ride twintips have a love and appreciation for art and creative exression. putting art on skis gives jobs to artists, progresses art, and progresses the culture. by your logic, nothing needs to be beautiful, and everything should be plain and ugly as long as it still functions. that's a bleak point of view.

Ski racing is a totallty different type of atmosphere than freestyle. I dont think a crime scene or whatever would really look good or suite that style of skiing. Its not that hard to figure out.

I really don't understand why race graphics are so bad. I would think someone like bode would want cool graphics to reflect their personality, then again, maybe the current ones do....

since when did racing graphics become not cool? i personally like the design of those skis. the sexpistol skis are way too busy looking and they have pink in them....that says enough. Racing skis are sleek and fast looking with a classic design. that may be why we ski so much faster than you guys.

grsphics on racing skis are more about like new materials, so they show these skis with new textures(salomon and touch the atomic carving skis)and they promote their technology too, I think they re okay, just not too creative.

and i've been around moguls for quite a bit now too (and some racing because my sister was one for a looooong time)

 
racing skis arent allowed to have any graphics other then checkered flags and crazy geometric color schemes.

how can people skiing between gates on a set course create a creative pattern?
