When will cops learn..

people need to learn to fucking do what the cop needs them to do..if you arent doing anything illegal you dont have anything to worry about so many privileged lil cunts just cause daddy is a lawyer doesnt mean you are too

Nope saw a cop driving today while talking on the phone which is against the law and didnt do shit about it.

But this shit is fucked up cops straight up teasing and beating innocent people because they know the laws.

There are good cops and bad cops. There are people who don't deserve to be beat up, and there are people who do. These cops were in the wrong, but the kids needed to handle it better.

Clearly you have never had a cop show up at your door and demanded to come inside illegally. It isnt a fun process to go through.

All those cops were bad cops they needed to handle it better, talking back to the college kids "I dont give a shit" real professional stuff right there I want that guy protecting and serving my neighborhood.

Guess what it isnt the kids job to handle it better. It is the cops job to keep a level head and stop the situation from escalating.

Say that to Sandra Bland who was pulled over for a traffic violation and ended up dead in a prison cell three days later. Or the autistic boy who was shot dead by two officers. Or say that to the 54% of African Americans who said they have experienced some form of harassment or abuse at the hands of police officers.

Off course not every officer is bad and its a few bad apples projecting badly on the many good cops. But this notion that if you aren't doing anything wrong you don't need to worry is bullshit.

And yeah, I've never had a cop try to illegally enter my residence. But guess what, if they asked to do something I'd do it. These kids were being dumb. The cops were being dumb. The kids thought they could be lawyers, but if they would have went with the cop, maybe it could have been avoided.

I've been asked to do something by the cops and did it, and found out the hard way that cops now believe you are guilty until proven innocent. A lot of other people know that now, hence why there are so many videos like this being posted every day. So instead of just giving up their rights and letting the cops walk all over them they are demanding the cops follow the laws, and the sadly it looks like a lot of cops hate following the laws.

doesn't change the fact that cops are some of the most distracted drivers on the road. just cause they're "trained" to use a laptop and a hand held phone while driving a car doesn't mean it's safe. I get stuck at green lights behind cops all the time cause they're fucking around doing whatever but I know that if I honk I'll get some kind of bullshit fine.

So you would let a cop illegally search your home without a warrant? This kind of mindset would merely lead to future repercussions.

There are good cops and there are very bad cops, the are people just like you and me and they are our servants.

My father watched a young woman get beat up by a cop. He grabbed her and smashed her face on the side of the cop car, she was lying on the half in a seizure, half unconscious. This was supposedly because of a moving violation and I guess the girl disagreed with the officer. Anyway, once she was knocked out my father raced over and tried to help the women, the office immediately punched him square in the face and arrested him.

When they went to court the office lied and said that my father attacked him out of the blue, even though my father didn’t touch him.

There are many good, well-respected police officers, but there are also police officers that abuse their powers. Just remember that the next time you read about an unjustified conviction that resulted from a false confession, think about why we have Miranda rights in the first place. It's simply to stop law enforcement authorities from committing abuses of power. When these authorities can make their own rules, they naturally will. Innocent until proven guilty! Due process!

Honestly i wouldn't have done anything much different. Cops were being an ass, ill be an ass back but i woulda stepped out of the house. Not sure why the fuck there were like 20 cops there to do whatever they originally were gonna do. I hope something happens to some of them. Didnt have a warrant, based and batoned the fuck out of that kid and dragged the chick out for almost zero reason. They also didnt say why they were under arrest for which is illegal. Those kids didnt deserve what they got, but not cooperating didnt help either. I would have asked what for, stepped out of the house and talked politely first. This is some fucked up shit regardless, and both sides need to apologize, but those cops should know what the hell they are doing. Half of those cops look like they fuck their sisters and inbreed, dam Alabama

yes civilians need to do that but police also need to realize if the person isnt doing anything and they tell the police to fuck off they need to fuck off. you don't need to shoot someone because they arent listening to you.

The guys straight up said are you arrested me and the cop said yes and then didn't cite a charge, it is definitely within his legal rights to shut the door unless the cops say they are detaining you.

Now that being said I don't actually know the backstory of what happened here so I don't know what the deal is in this situation. But you have right while talking and dealing with cops this is a fascist society where you have to lay down and do whatever they say.

I wish a cop did that to me and I got a ton of money courtesy of the taxpayers.

"IS HE BEING ARRESTED OR DETAINED???!!!"

bitch now he's getting tazed. one person talking calmly at a time does great things for situations. Screaming shit at a cop did nothing to help.

First things first. Never blindly obey cops.

Second, if you're respectful and don't act like a dickwad it will get you far with cops. Our media makes it seem like every cop you will meet is trying to beat you or kill you. That is very very false. Just be respectful and understand that they're people to that sometimes have to do a hard job. If they are aggressive be smart. Call someone and get somewhere with witnesses. Its not complicated

I'm a student-athlete at the University of Alabama where this happened. I know the two guys in the video and the girl yelling in the background and they were 100% at fault and provoked the cop. This was the second time the cop had been there, it was at 3:00am, and they had already been politely warned. They were being drunk assholes to the cops before the video started, and definitely provoked the incident. I hate the cop did what he did, and should be punished. The cop absolutely overstepped his boundaries, but this is not the typical police brutality you see in the news these days. Definitely get the facts before you make assumptions and don't immediately jump on the police.

God it's so true... I got a ticket once for "checking my cellphone" at a light... about 3 minutes after seeing the same cop dicking around probably playing solitaire or minesweeper on his computer in his cruiser.

Fuck that. No cop is 'trained' to be able to handle that distraction because no human can actually handle that distraction... This is why we have hands free shit... something cops apparently don't even have regardless of their ridiculously high budgets.

I don't know what happened before this or why the cop wanted to enter, but apparently he had no reason to enter the residence. I also don't know why these people entertained him at the door. See this type of shit is EXACTY the god damn problem. Why yes officer do what ever you want! Want to speed? Go right ahead. Want to search my car for no reason? Go right ahead. Want to search my house? Go right ahead. Want to kidnap and assault me without cause? Go right ahead. Want me to bend over and take your long dick of the law right up the poop chute? Go right ahead! We don't have constitution rights that protect against this very type of bullshit.

If we let cops do what they want, obey blindly and turn ours head when they break the law they are supposed to be upholding, where do we draw the line? How far is too far?

Also the kids in said video are not obligated to handle anything better. We are protected from this very shit by the first amendment. I can want up to a cop and call him a thudercunt and nothing should happen. The cops are the ones who must show restraint, not the public. Can't handle it? Maybe you shouldn't be a cop.

Im not against cops, I'm against people who are meant to up hold they law but break in the proces. It blows my mind how many people think you should just do what they say to avoid trouble, that's not how it is supposed to work.

Lol at a cops job being hard. No one is obligated to talk to the police. No one is obligated to answer police questions. No one is obligated to be nice to the police. Yes, it is common courtesy to do so, but again, there is no law saying you must treat a law enforcment officer with respect. Now on the other hand there are laws saying what cops must do and what they can't do. The sole purpose of their employment is to uphold the law. Not break it when they see fit. Not interpret it how they want. To fucking uphold it! They're held to higher standard and this is known upon employment. They ARE obligated to treat civilians with respect even if that meany civilian said mean words to you And it hurt your feeling deep down inside. If lawful non compliance pisses a cop off, then he needs to find a new line of work. The police work for us, not the other way around.

I like how you automatically sided with the cop in his story. His dad MUST have attacked the cop!!! Because they are always truthful and model citizens of our great republic right?

You can be polite all you want but they already have the mind set that when you are just watching a movie you are really having a massive party or doing something illegal. And when they push the door to be wide open almost breaking your nose in the process and screaming we can coming in, and you politely say no it doesn't go over well.

Yes it has the POTENTIAL to get dangerous. So do a lot of things.

Uh no you do not have to answer those questions...at all. If a cop walks up to me and asks me for my name and birthdate, you don't have to give him shit. Unless they have probable cause, they are fishing, which is illegal. Same goes for a cop pulling you over for no reason, you do not have to give him anything since you've committed no crime and there's no reason he should be talking to you. The story changes when you have committed a crime in a vehicle. Then you are obligated to prove you are licensed to drive said vehicle. Even if you have commited a crime and a cop sees you do it, you still don't have to give them anything (name, birthday). You will obviously get arrested, but you are protected by the 5th anmendnent and your mouth can stay closed for the duration of your time in police custody.

Im sure everyone has seen the videos where cops go up to people open carrying in open carry states? The cop usually says some shit like "people are worried and called us". Ok cool what the cop should do is go see what's going on, since they have to respond when people call the police, see no law is being broken (without fishing) and be on his merry way. The cop usually asks for some id or some shit which is illegal if open carry is law and the guy has isn't in the act of commuting any crime. The open carrier does not have to give the cop shit or answer any questions. He's committed no crime. Most people will say just do what the cop wants so you can be pn your way. I can see your point, but any little violation of our constitutional rights is still a violation. I'like ask it again, where do we draw the line? How much of our civil rights being abused is too much?

Alright they provoked the cop. So? While it is a douche move, it's not illegal. The cops over reaction is illegal. You can say whatever you want to a cop as long as it's not a threat. They have to sit there and take it. As a cop, you can't just barge your way in and taze people because they were mean to you.

That being said IDC how annoying they were being, cop had no right to pull that kid out of his residence without a warrant. Looks like he also stopped the kid from closing the door. All that shit in response to a noise violation? Embarrassing for the police force for sure..

One of my friend's who's a cop posted this the other day in a reaction to a different 'omg the cops are abusing their power' video:

Since starting my career in policing, it has changed tremendously. I would never recommend the career to anyone. The media, including social media has made it easy and cool to say F**K the police. The prevalence of this can be seen even on Facebook, where people are listed on my friend list, commenting on a variety of videos or other posts, supporting the bashing of police, without knowing the facts. Police constantly deal with a segment of the population that represents roughly 5% of the city. I am not referring to any race or fiscal demographic, but speaking in general terms. The police in any given city know the names of the people that we deal with regularly. Heck there are units within Police Services that are dedicated to some of these individuals, such as Habitual Offenders, or Stolen Auto or Drugs....That leaves a population of about 95% of the city that we do not come into regular contact with. That is a good thing. However, when this segment is contacted, it is usually for something minor such as bylaw infractions like speeding, or noisy parties.

I have been given speeding tickets, because guess what...I was speeding. I deserved it because I broke the law.

On the not so frequent occasion, we attend to your house because someone called 911 and asked for us to come. The call was made at the time, because someone, somewhere along the line thought police intervention was required. Now this is where it gets interesting...if you are unhappy with the outcome, you complain. If you think the police have an attitude, you complain. If you are arrested and don't comply and get injured, you complain. But usually, it's a friend of a friend that complains, then the whole incident gets worse like an old legend, and doesn't contain any real facts. What everyone forgets is that police are human. You have no idea whether or not the last call he or she was on, was trying to save the life of a baby not breathing. Or they just dealt with taking a statement from a sexual assault victim who'd been raped by his uncle. Or a domestic where the man beat his wife and she is too fearful to say anything. Police try their best to compartmentalize everything they deal with, so that they can take the next call. And the next one. And during many of these calls, people shout at police. Confront police. Make situations worse. The police then make split second decisions based on their training and experience, which sometimes become scrutinized for weeks, months and sometimes years after the fact.

I have friends that are plumbers, electricians, miners, athletes, fire fighters, lawyers and everything in between. There is no other career that has glorified the injuring of the workers employed in that field. No other career that the workers are specifically targeted for the uniform they wear. I've never read an article that urged people to stand against the fire fighters because they used too much water and flooded your house. All lawyers because yours overbilled. The car salesman gouged you. The clerk at the store was rude. If you don't believe that the police are specifically being targeted, google it. Search how many officers have been hurt or shot and killed lately for no other reason than the fact they are police.

For anyone who has had dealings with the police, (it is a very small segment of the population), there was a reason you came into contact with them. Whether it be positive or negative. In most cases, police are only called to incidents where bad things are happening. We don't often get invited to BBQs.

Police may stop you while riding your bike with no headlight at night....because he knows that in that neighbourhood, the citizens have complained about B and Es by someone on a bike at night. It might not be you, but he would be negligent if he didn't check you out. You should be happy he checked you out, he's protecting your property.

She might be rude (in your opinion) when you are the homeowner of a noisy party that is tying up 10 officers because you thought it was a good idea to have 150 people at your house, on a quiet street. Your neighbours want you to be quiet, they're the ones that called.

You might have been "thrown" to the ground when you were asked to keep your hands out of your pockets at the assault with a weapon call. The police don't know who has the weapons, and need to figure it out quickly. If you match the only description given, they probably think you are the suspect, even if the real suspect left. So comply. I want to go home to my family at the end of my shift.

No, I didn't sign up to be police officer knowing I would spit at, and pushed, kicked and bitten. Sworn at by kids. Laughed at by parents. Lied to by many. I wanted to help. Help people that felt that they needed my help.

I guess my point is this. I know that many of you have never dealt with the police. If you have, the incident was probably normal. Very rarely, if anytime, have any of you had a negative encounter with the police, in which your rights and freedoms were violated. So please, I beg you, jump off the bandwagon of police hating. Get angry that criminals (people breaking the law) are being allowed to run free. No matter what, we will come when you call. We will never turn our backs on you. If you have a positive encounter with the police, post it. I dare you. If you get a ticket that you deserved, own it. If you get arrested because you deserved it, own it. And if you teach your kids that it's ok to treat the police in the same fashion that is shown in the video posted...shame on you. This video never went viral. I am very fearful of where we are headed as a society. And take that for what you think it's worth, but I see a lot of things that you have no idea even happens, because it never makes the paper.

Before you post or comment about police without knowing all of the facts, do your research.
