i think its safe to say everyone from 1999-2009 was the first generation of newschool skiers. so, when we all grow up, are we still gonna be slayin the parks, and if not slayin will we still be jibbin. i can honestly say i'd like to be 40 years old and still be able to slide a flat rail, throw an easy 2 off or switch up.

so, is it reasonable to say when we are all older, will we still be dippin into the woods to smoke joints, gettin stoked to watch tanner halls film (hes the next warren miller, i swear) and just keepin it hood like we do now?
 
i was thinking about this today. but father time might take his toll on our knees in a bit so...
 
I have met plenty of 40 year olds that light up on the chairs and rip. Their generation was about hot doggin on the new skis, and plenty of us are about park, so why not? i would say this sort of lifestyle is going to leave enough of an impression to last, it's not jsut going to go away.
 
Alright so i'm confused are u saying that the first generation of newschoolers was born between 1999-2009 or that thats when the started to ski park and stuff. Because if they were born then this is a fucked up thread that would mean like u have 10 year olds smokin joints in the woods. so im gonna give u the benefit of the doubt and assume u mean we started skiing park during that time. If so then yes we will continue this until our knees give out and and were legally not allowed to drive at night. And once we reach that point we'll buy knee braces and continue to shed.
 
Well seeing as my back, knees, and shoulders will b shot by then i dont think ill be doin much park. But i know that my dad still is a true ski bum, even though my mom hates it. He still rips and even tries to progress wit me. I mean this year i got him to try a rail, land switch and he can even butter. So when im forty i plan to be skiin with my kids all the time and learn from them.
 
I will ski until I just physically cant even swallow water anymore I'll tel you that haha cuz even this past winter I could barely walk but when it came to skiing I'd just forget about it and slay rails for suure.

I've always thought of this and I think to myself I shall day the day that I wake up on a winter morning and not want to go skiing especially if its a pow day. haha imagine some like 80 yr old lady smoking trees and slaying pow/ rails at your mtn. that'll be me
 
By the time we are that age we will have robotic knee implants and jets/hover conversions for our tri tip skis. joints will be injected from our brain implants.

Bad part: hamburgers will be outlawed and meal-in-a-pill will be enforced by the new global government.

Best part: nuclear winter will open up the grand canyon as the next AK. Which is good, especially because the AK is now a columbian military province.

Will there even be a winter or will global warming have gotten so bad that it doesn't snow? And will people still ski? If people still ski what will freeskiing be like? Kangaroo flips off cliffs onto rails with 720 swith ups and double superman front flip off. Or is freestyle skiing just a fad.
 
shit i better be, im actually looking forward to being like 50, then ill have an excuse not to go super big and just kinda chill and do fun stuff.
when i think about the next like 30 years of my life i want it to go like this..... ski a shit ton every year and kill it and progress as much as i can till im about 35, then start to chill out and move towards just chill steezy stuff by the time im 40. and when im like 40-55 i wanna just be cruizin the park just hitting smaller jumps and rails and use my 40 years of steeze experience. and hopefully ill have kids that kill it that i can ride with!
 
I think I started doing 180s and 360s on little booters we built on the side of trails back in like '99.

I feel old.
 
i've never been much of a park skier anways, so i think my style won't ever change, i'll still ski pow whenever possible and only hit up the park when the snow is bad or when it's in the same area i'm skiing in.

I always wondered about that..also, what will our kids be doing? Now parents are always telling kids to pull up their pants and blah blah blah...But I dont think our generation will really care...heck I'll probably encourage it!
 
im 95% sure thats a picture of herican jaun, as for the thread i tihnk that you well ski as long as you live, we will just start skiing loads of pow, so its a little easyier on the joints, but you could do joga so you can still slay the park, but the next gereration after this one will be sooo sick. unless it all dies out, or there is no snow left.
