i just got some new urban punx and was wondering if i had to do anything different to them since they haven't been waxed by me or a shop yet .

also should i have to worry about catching my edges on rails at first with these skis ?

Be carefull with rails they are now your worst enemy until yours edges are unsharpened a little haha. Also when I got my new skis I was feeling trapped in the jumps because my edges were cutting so much and not allowing me to start my spins until my tail were totaly off the kicker. It forces you to pop a little more...which is a good thing.

i dont think punx do. i have a pair and there diecut bases and you can feel the letters like popping out of them... but try and detune in the red area under the foot. itll help on rails. and your gonna wanna wax your skis again after like 3rd time using them

for race skis, i always do a few coats of yellow wax or base prep to give them a good base for other waxes to bond to. i don't think it matters as much for park skis but i do it anyway.
