When They Mount the bindings....

Alright so on my fujatives i was going to get them mounted at core center. How does the binding mount around that point on the side of the ski. Where the triangle says center core, is that where the tip of the binding goes or is that where the center of the bindings go? Im kinda confused, please help me, and posibly show some picutres of ur setup where it is mounted and where the scale on the side is.
 
that is where the middle of your boot goes. If you look on the sole of either boot, there will be a line, that line will match with the core center line/triangle. So the heel and toe will be an equal distance away from that point.

every binding nowadayz have jigs. a jig is basically a clamp with a hole pattern in it that matches the pattern of the corresponding binding.

the jig can be adjusted for whatever size boot u have...there is a line in the middle of the jig that shows the middle of the boot. when mounting a ski...

jig gets adjusted

holes are drilled in ski.

so if you are mounting at core center there will be the same amount of distance in the jig from ur midsole to your toe and heal.
 
alright so just basically line up the 2 lines, or the guy will,

what are some decent bindings for the fujatives?

kinda low priced?

gonna need alittle more information like hight wheight ability sorta thing, but my geuss is that youd be perfectly fine on a nice pair of px12's. most people seem to be.
 
How much do you weigh bro, and your height and stuff. Also what DIN ranga are you after.

Look PX12 is a good binding mor most shredders generally.

Salomon Z10/Z12 is a good binding for the lighter skier.

Marker is a no go for a cheap price.

More info required though.
 
im 5'8, 130 lbs.

im not quite sure what DIN number im looking for, my guess would be around 6, but i dont know a whole lot about bindings, because i just started last year.

Help me out guys!
 
dont touch anything on the boot or ski. walk into your shop. say i want my skis mounted at core center. (if u want u can make sure they know where the mark is so there is no fuck up) and give them 1 of ur boots and ur bindings.
 
okay sounds good about the taking it to the shop

but what about din for me? 6? i know din is like the strength it takes u get you out of the bindings.

also what is the plastic peices that go underneath the bindings and on to the skis.

im 5'8 130lbs. px12's are looking good, will the brake be wide enough for the fujy? (85mm)

I found some px12s for 150, anyone know where u can get them cheap?
 
the shop will set the din for you, they should have a form for you to fill out that gets your height, weight, ability etc and then they'll work it out from there. 6 would probably seem about right though, maybe a bit less if you're not a confident skier

the plastic pieces? I'm guessing they're raisers, if you get the px12 jib they're supposed to absorb some shock. also they lift your boot higher off the ski so if you're carving a hard turn your boot won't dig into the snow.

the stock brake for px12s is 80 or 85mm I think. it should be fine for the fujas. the next size brake up is like 113mm which would look redic and probably dig into the snow when turning. if they don't fit it shouldn't be hard to bend them a tiny bit to get them to fit. to put it into perspective, the stock brakes nearly worked on my anthems (93mm)
