When do you think you will give up on Newschool extreme gangsta ass hardcore skiing? As you get older the notion of wasting time in a park with urban features and jumps seems more and more ridiculous with each lap i take of the park. I think UNLESS you are a pro skier, youre a huuge faggot if you spend more than 25 percent of your time in the park and youre over the age of 20. Its time to grow up and get riddy of the "steezy" outfits and wear sensible practical outerwear.

you should just ski pow, nothing is more ridiculous or pathetic than some twenty or thirty something decked out in orage with the latest twins trying to spin a 5. Park and rail skiing is already kind of gay to begin with.

I,d ratehr see people having fun skiing by skiing park at 40 and trying to learn 180 then them getting pissed at how hard it is to make turns in wet powder.
 
just like how its unacceptable for a 40 year old lawyer to gap 10 staircases, its unaceceptable for any one in the professional world to be involved with something as childish as a terrain park if you aren't sponsored.

You should pretty much be detached from newschool skiing clothing, decorum, and culture by the end of your first year in college, assuming youre not on the verge of getting sponsored or are sponsored.

 
if you were skiing right now you wouldn't be hating. Let kids ski where they want, i know some kids who aren't pro and are over 20 and spend over 25% of their time in park, they're the park crew, so go up to your local park crew and call them faggots becasue that is what your thread implied. basically no park crew= no park.
 
dude i live less than a block away from the gondola at steamboat, if i wanted i could be on the gondola in 5 and be skiing pow in 20 mins if i wanted, skiing is just way too played out now
 
I'm gonna shred the park as long as my body lets me. The guy I work with is like 30 and is still doing spins on and off rails with his 187's. That just makes me want to do it as long as I can.

Your really sounding like a bitch, ski how you want and let others ski how the want, and remember that not everyone can find pow in 20 min, for the midwest and most of the east there might only be a couple days in the whole season to do that, but your right, they should only pick up the sticks and go skiing those few days.
 
Who cares skiing is about having fun. If skiing pow is more fun to you go do it but you don't have to make fun of other people who like park
 
wow my dad is a lawyer, hes 40 and if he was gapping 10 stairs* then i would be totally stoked.

so me living in WI and being a college student, i spend most of my time in the park. Am i a fag? just because i dont find it as fun to go down a fun with 200 vertical feet, that has little grade and is short as fuck?

i just ski whatever is the most fun to me. sometimes its park, sometimes it isnt.

ill prolly be doin this when im older to because its just how i like to ski

i've never been into that sort of thing, i ski park sometimes but i'm more into the mountain stuff. but hey if someone's having a good time in the park and they're not being a douche bag let them dress and do whatever they want as long as they aren't being assholes to anyone. it's when people start getting cocky and acting like they're straight up G that it starts getting bothersome.
 
remember not everyone is as fortunate as you to have pow 5 minutes from you...having lived in Ontario i have gotten the chance to ski pow once maybe twice.....don't take it for granted
 
since when did freestyle skiing only start being about becoming pro just have fun and if you think people in the park are fags then dont go there
 
yea thats great that you live at a nice ski area in colorado and you can ski pow till your hearts content but for me i live in connecticut and we get about 4 feet of snow a winter. it is stupid to sit around waiting for snow. i think you should just go out there and ski what you have, for me it is park and i will be skiing park for as long as my body lets me or i move out west and can ski powder
