When NS grows up?

so right now on ns the majority of the kids are young and i always here people making comments about look who youre talking too a bunch of young kids. So in like 4 years when all these young kids become 18 ish i htink this iste will be very diffrent

i dont know what will happen or if the quality of threads will rise but i think that it will change this site
 
what im always wondering is if when i grow up ill jsut forget about NS, which would prob. be really sad and depressing, or if ill be one for life and show my kids...it's just weird to think that all this popular ppl. that post on here are just going to vanish one day
 
it's a cycle. haven't you noticed a lot of 13 year olds posting lately? theyll be us in a few years, and well be the more senior bunch. its a continuous cycle
 
yah i really hope that i dont get too busy for NS one day

and youre right that all the people that are popular on here now may one day leave and leave behind their massive pot whore counts
 
ill be 27 in 4 years.. yikes... hope im still shredding then haha. im sure people will still come on NS. all really depends on where the ski ndustry goes probably.
 
I'm 25 now, so i really only post in cults to avoid the masses of bullshit responses in NSG etc.

 
so one day there will be senior citizens on NS, Or are you saying that they will be "cycled out", or will we all be dead before 65. That would be cool to see NS going for my grandkids.
 
I've noticed a change already with NS and its really fucking cool. I've gotten a ton of help with school and personal projects from other people on here and I would assume that as the numbers of NS'er continues to grow, so will that support network that we can all tap into for help when we need it.

The internet is fucking neato!
 
being here for the past 4 years i know that ns wont really grow up. the older members back then used to say the same thing, only it wasnt as bad because there were less of the younger kids. now theres still a ton of younger kids and the young ones back then got older. if freestyle skiing keeps growing at the same rate, ns wont really ever grow up. only ever will if the sport stops growing so much
 
i guess it is like a cycle, last year i was a major post whore and now i just post in stuff i am interested in. i think its not always age its sometimes how well u know the site and how it works.
 
ive aways wodered about that too haha. like im gonna see my kids post if they end up enjoying skiing. i think the kids would be embaresed that their dad is on the same site sort of stalking them
 
i wonder how people assume that nubz are always 13, i mean there's no saying, some act like immature retards but it seems like a person with sub 20 posts is always under 14, i dunno i immediately think that, kind of a steryotype. i've noticed when noobs bump threads from like 02 all the people with high post counts haven't been on in over 30 days, i think we'll just grow out of ns and leave our hours of time and our thousands of posts behind, i mean there aren't that many 30 year olds here
 
once you get to a certain age, you graduate to Epic ski. and ask about best resorts for my family, and about the best ski for gentle groomers for my wife.
 
ns wont "grow up" because more kids just find it and use it and are the ones without shame. Ive been on here for years, and while some minute aspects have matured, the overall ns member base seems to just be younger and younger. Maybe thats because im getting older and older, but whatever
 
most people on here are what 14-24ish? 24 is still young as fuck in action sports. im not wondering what will happen when the people on ns grow up, cause its a cycle, but im wondering what will happen to the pro's. like tanner's what 25? 26? look at people in skateboarding, pro's last till about 40 till they go downhill. and our oldest pro;s in the sport are like maybe what 28?
we dont have a tony hawk, or rodney mullen in our sport, so its gonna be wierd when like tanner, candide,jon, kye, etc.... are like 37 and showing up 21 year olds.
its nice to think that i still got like 20 years of newschool skiing before i start to go downhill fast. thats a long time! and its gonna be a fun time!
 
when we get older new kids will start coming in to replace us, its happening right now. there are always new members.
 
ill be on NS til i get way old, and ill show it to my kids. hopefully NS lasts forever. there will always be newer kids joining the site, the cycle will just keep going.
 
It's scary to think I first starting lurking as a guest on NS when i was 13 and I'm about to turn 19 in a few months now.
