This is my least favorite atmosphere alblum. I want to bitch about it to newschoolers cuz im so dam dissapointed. It dosnt encompass slugs old syle of anger and rage. He dosnt rap as fast, its him talking. I think the lyrics are just as good, maybe even better overall then any other alblum, but everything else sucks. What happened to all of the old ANT style beats, they were so dope. I dont like this fucking band/instrument shit either, i saw Atmosphere in concert with a band and it sucked. Anyone else share my views? Am i the only one?
 
no i agree 100%, lets be serious, slug was better when he was pissed off at life, but it seems like hes loving life now, i hate it but gotta feel good for the guy. also the band sound is different im not liking it, but the soul music esk stuff isnt that bad like yesterday and puppets but it still sucks i agree with you
 
word bro, good point, he is way more stoked on life now. hahaha but a part of me wants his life to worsen before he writes his next alblum. get some more lift her pull her style-sounding shit going
 
Definitel not Atmospheres worst album, but it grows on you. It's just that it's so different than his other stuff. And I thought that the Slug with the band live was tight, some of his songs sound better with a band in my opinion like shrapnel for instance.
 
as soon as they started releasing new EPs everyday, i knew they were headed downhill. then i saw em on MTV and i abandoned all hope.
 
not sayin that there is anything wrong them.

its just they released waaaayyyyyy too many waaaayyyyy too fast. it sounded like they needed attention or something so they threw some way old singles together.

by the way, Sad Clown isnt that good. most of it is all really old samples. the whiny ones that are all about the same thing: getting drunk, having no friends, sleeping with sluts, passing out....that kind of tired shit.
 
yeah I agree. His songs like, " always coming back home to you" and tying to find a balance are better than some of his newer stuff, but its not tooo bad just not quite as good
 
Definitely a different sound from his earlier stuff.

I still like it though. Some of the songs seem to have a bit more of a Gnarls Barkley influence, or the style seems to be a bit more like that.

I'm all about artists checking out new realms, this is interesting and is growing on me.
