to me it really depends what I am getting on to and how high I need to jump. the higher I have to go the more I go off of the tails of my skis.

Just normally jump. I have been trying to work on 270's on jumpoing off my tips because it seems cool on vids.

i dont have to jump anymore cuz i bought the new oakley osamas and the sand core and the uranium carbon ollieband just spring me off the snow with the greatest of ease

If you're popping off a lip, usually people just jump. The shape of the lip loads your skis and when you pop, they give you a bit of a boost. However, on urban style, where the take-off is flat, it can take more of an ollie to get some pop. Probably depends on preference too and what kind of style you want to have. I usually just pop, especially if I'm spinning. (Although there certainly are situations where I ollie as well...)

yea for rails dpending on how low the jump up to it is, i pop off of my tails. Jumps allow your skis to take the shape of the curve so you really just gotta jump and your skis will spring you up.

i jump if i want to hit it perpendicular but if im coming in a little from the side (to lipslide) i pop.

I try to jump with my weight even on my skis, when i extend trying and get your hips over your ankles/knees to avoid from landing backseat while spinning.
