dude here is a thought, just stay in shape all the time and you wont have a problem.

what you do is eat ALL summer and gain a bunch of wait. Then about 1 month before the season starts work out ALL THE TIME. This will turn all your fat into muscle and you'll be a lean mean skiing macine. Remember ALL THE TIME! or just stay in shape all the time.

I run cross country in the fall, so getting in shape for the season has never been a problem. Running is good, but it kills your knees, swimming and biking are really good ways to get in shape, and they are low impact.

'I won't be able to vote for like...four more years.' (18 year old Tanner Hall)

'My knee hurts' (Jeff Merat after grinding a lunch table for an hour instead of sitting in the ski patrol shack for his torm mcl and acl which he got earlier that day.)

'It's too bad one piece suits are gay because they're really warm, and when you fall, they keep the snow out.' (Dean Cummings)

'I'm not asking for any help, just mabe for you to get off your ass.'(my dad)

Tramps are great. I also wakeboard in the summer, it keeps me in shape all year round. Stay in shape all of the time.

As soon as ski season is over you start training for the next one. So you're a bit late

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

try doin some plyometrics. especially if your skiing the bumps. you'll thank me later.

I lift all the time and try to run, but thats for other reasons, u only really need good strong legs for just skiing, but i think havin a strong bak/abs help with jumpin, but yeah just always try and be in shape thats a better idea

If you want some solid advice, go to the gym in your town and ask one of the weightroom attendents, and they will set you right. Strong core muscles (abs, back etc..) are really important to keep in shape since they support everything else. Obviously you are using your legs most, but you have to develop all of your muscles in ballance or you will be all jacked up and spending more time in physio than on the hill.

inline skating i find is the only thing that works the muscles in your legs that you use when you ski. like the very outside of your leg, right below your hip. just go skate for like a mile a day and do tons of ab excercises(jack knifes, hollows, throw downs, crunches, w/e floats your boat) cuz abs and outter thigh/ass is most important when skiing.
