"When I was a noob" Confessions

Yes but it was used non racially, not saying it was right to say but where I come from its used in normal conversation. I'm deeply sorry if I offended anyone, it was just used for the purpose of a joke and if it's a big deal I can get it removed

I'm not saying you offended anyone or anything, but you can't just use a racial slur non-racially. That's not how it works

I don't know how noobish this is but in 7th grade I started tele skiing and got pretty damn decent in the next few years. Anyways I wanted to learn park too so I tried to learn rails on tele skis and good God was that a disaster. I remember kids in baggy ass clothing laughing at me and yelling at me to get out of the way when I ate shit.

Left young me emotionally scarred for lyfe :'''(

Few things i did....

spray painted my after bangs black...

and my helmet. I wore a big neff sweatshirt and occasionally a large epic planks sweatshirt that went down to my knees

If this is actually you. You are a beautiful person. +K

Actually me? Yes. I am a noob for over 45 years now. What "kids" do these days is unbelievable compared to when I was a "kid".

Don't matter what one wears or how noob they are. Just have fun. That's what I do no matter how much folks laugh at me.

Be good Chris.

You sir are a legend. Everyone take note of this mentality.

Still am a noob. Used to jump off the lips of rails. I cringe every time I think about it. Also wore all dc and thought my 169 bents were the shit

It's nice that you say that. I'm not exactly sure how this rumor came to be.

I do ski a lot, yet only at Bachelor. I just do my best to respect everyone and be supportive of "noobs" always.

Still a noob.. Occasionally hit a lip off a rail and did a "blunt".. Didn't know the difference between blunt, tail, cuban, or anything.. Constantly strait aired jumps and would always attempt to do japan grabs.. They looked awful. Super psyched when I did a front 2 out of a box. Whenever I would wuss out of a rail or jump I would blame it on the lip or another gaper messing me up. Didn't wear goggles, still don't. Thought all baggy clothes worked as instant park swag.. Bad times. Still live in them.

My mom bought me a full fitted brown and gold one piece ski suit. It was so expensive we spend like 5 dollars on goggles and 30 on a helmet. Ahh the good ol days

I didn't know who Candide was until OOTD1 came out....not sure how i didnt know of our sport's legend until then.

Told people i could Rodeo but whenever they told me to do it id simply say..."this jump isn't good enough for it i did at this perfect jump last week though, i was alone thought too so no film" i was 12 haha

I started really getting into skiing in 2007ish so I thought the skittle jackets were dope and simon dumont was the only skier alive. I colored my purple racing helmet black with a sharpie. I wore medium hoodies and a tight ass jacket. I thought 180s and shifties were the coolest tricks ever.

THEN: I constantly tried jumping the ropes in the park and would tear down 50 feet in fencing. I wouldnt pop going off the jump so I would have no control in the air so i looked like a starfish.

NOW:I still sometimes wear pants from big 5 and broke my collar bone on a box at hood.

I used to wear a saga triple stack hoodie every day even on pow days an' shit haha, i have changed so much and i thank the ski gods for it!

i had a friend that had no saga stuff and he realized how bad he looked and it was a day that was like 0 degrees (F) and he ate shit on a roller and freaked out (maybe because he was cold) and we called ski patrol. Then he got a like 2hour ambulance ride to the ER because we were at 7springs and he thought he got a concussion so ya....

When I started doing jib tricks at around age 8 or 9 I had a red alpina helmet that looked like an egg with a swiss cross on it. Worst part is I had a slalom protection guard mounted too. Musta looked weird watchin that kid doing 540s :D

Thorough i knew evrey ski brand in existence. I had no idea what 4frnf was. Also though that line was a supper new brand and its "hipster". Also I bought some k2 fours from a really shady looking dude and i found a sticker in it that said "aspen snowmass rental center" . I did end up living those skis tho.

Well for like 3 years I shredded in secondhand slalom skis... Cliffs hucks, rails, everything in my trusty Dynastar race skis

couldn't afford cool 2010 style colorful snow pants, so i cut up a red and yellow rain jacket and hot glued pieces of it to my skinny black snow pants.... also sported racer boots and back mounted 2000 Line Skogen Sprang
