When does the ski season begin in Ohio?

I'm moving to Columbus in the fall and am trying to figure out what to pack in the car with me when I leave. If the season usually begins before December then I would throw the skis in the car with me. But if the season usually begins after December I would bring the skis back after Christmas. Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
season will begin before christmas. last year madriver (the best and closest park) opened around dec. 7th. also capital park/madriver threw a super legit rail jam in november
 
Exactly, if you're coming to college around here (I'm assuming OSU) you should check out OSU ski team. I'm president of ski team (not to be confused with ski club, which is a social drinking club--not that we don't party as well--we just actually go skiing haha) and good ole' tribefan226 is an officer as well--we'd be more than willing to answer any questions that you have regarding Mad River, Columbus, OSU, skiing, and winter. Feel free to post here or PM me.
 
Tyler, the ski team is definitely on my radar for when I get to Columbus. After looking at the site it seems like you guys have a pretty good (and pretty professional) thing going on.
 
if your an incoming freshman and want to ski everyday at the midwests best terrain park two years running and party with a bunch of skiers/snowboarders all winter this is definitely the way to go. i got over 80 days in when i was a freshman with no car
 
haha so as a grad student with a car I expect to get at least 80 days....i hope my professors understand my logic.
 
Ski team... More like OSU Dream Team. If you get with the ski team you will ski a lot even when there isn't snow or an open resort.

Teddy, do you need some muscle to round up this hoodlum? I can do some dirty work while I'm still in Ohio ;).
