When does loveland open

Passes go on sale Labor Day, I think it might open sometime at the end of October MAYBE. They are trying to start snowmaking in about 28 days. I am not 100% sure.

Yeah, they always open in october sometime. It's like the only place i ski, but i can't remember when they open. Snowmaking starts in exactky 27 days, 2 hours, and 40 something minutes. Their new and improved, and more professional looking site has a huge-ass counter front page. As much as i like skiing, i probably won't go up until they have at least 2 lifts open.

LOL, I have that counter on my "myspace"...LOL..The guy who is running the new site seems way cool! He made it ten times better than last year.

lol i cant wait for first day of my shitty midwestern ski hill with like 300ft vertical...one trail with 0 park features. but yet still one of the happiest days on the hill.

We open early to mid Oct. A-Basin opened Friday the 13th last year and we opened the 14th....As soon as we start blowing snow, you can go to www.skiloveland.com for updates, cams and pics of the snowmaking ops.

See you on the mountain very soon!

Dang, I was wrong. I thought Loveland opened before A-Basin. Shows how much i pay attention LOL.

No, you were right, loveland opens and has been opening before a-basin for numerous years, loveland just got hit harder with the heat wave, ans/or, didn't make enough snow. either way it was the first time in at least a few years that a-basin opened before loveland

yeah, i was caught off gaurd. I was watching loveland, then Boom, A basin is already open first.

I like to keep track of where the ski-able snow is.

loveland is sick! Hopefully i can ski there in december again. I went to loveland, keystone, and winter park when i was out there for my first west trip and loveland had the best snow and literally i think like 200 people at the whole place. Mid week december before xmas break

haha yea sadly snowmaking starts then not skiing but i drove by a-basin today and the machines are out and set up on the slopes. not running but soon hopefully

A cold front will push into Colorado late Saturday and into early Sunday morning. The temperatures will drop pretty dramatically over the next 48 hours. We'll start Saturday with mostly sunny skies and see increasing cloud cover by Saturday afternoon with a slight chance of showers late Saturday night.

The average temperature this time of year is 80 degrees. On Saturday we'll see temps near average. The cool and wet weather will take hold on Sunday and Monday. Temperatures in the high country will cool into the 30s in the early morning hours. We could see the snow line drop to about 6500 feet and that could mean a light dusting of snow on Monday morning

have you been by a-basin? all the snowmaking machines are out and it place on the slopes. im hoping for some snow up here tomorrow night

ummm your wrong

last year was the first year a basin got snowmaking

they never had it before and just relied on natural snow to fall

now i bet they will beat loveland every year

lucky people... the earliest ive ever skiied was november 30th, and it was on maybe like 2 inches with mud and grass sticking through

actually your wrong, abasin has had snowmaking for the past few seasons, hence they open a day after loveland usually.

thanks for the props! we do get a TON of snow. 2nd most in the state behind wolf creek (400inch avg.) if you like a ton of snow, no crowds & lift lines, and a ton of sick skiing....check loveland out!
