When does 7 springs normally open?

last year the weekend before thanksgiving

but we are prolly looking at t-giving for this year unless it gets cold in the next two weeks

yea usually around thanksgiving weekend or the weekend after that, and the parks are open the same week the resort is except its only boxes and rails, then about three weeks after that there are some jumps and shit.

opening day is gonna be epic, and our mountain manager says we start blowing in 2 weeks and they most likely will be open before the pre jib on november 21st with the freshest setup in pa.

good it has to be open by nov. 21 cause thats a weekend i can make it up, pm me and keep me up dated if you can

well we got 40 g's for our steel budget and we tashed all the crappy planet boxes and built a whole new arsenal of rails, boxes , and jibs.

The foggy bowl will be open on the 21st of november for the rome pre jib which is a snowboard only event.. but the park will be open to everyone afterwards, but with some luck the low temps will come within the next week or so and we can begin snowmaking.

I skied about 2 days before thanksgiving last year. they had a few little boxes and rails down at the foggy bowl that you could get some nice hits on. santas beard was open but thts almost never worth going to.

how long does it take after they start making snow to open, cuz they arent calling for snowmaking weather till the 24th or 25th. If they can do it in 3 nights, then they are good for the saturday after thanksgiving day, but if not, its looking like the week after.

its looking like opening day for wisp, springs and the other Southern PA resorts wont be thxgiving anymore. BUT with a week and a half of snowmaking Dec. 4-6 for opening weekend might not be too bad.

last year conditions were better in PA than Utah over thanksgiving I schlepped all my gear back for thanksgiving last year and had a great time.

Seven Springs got 3 inches of natural snow and 6 inches of manmade snow yesterday. They are going to continue blowing snow for today and tomorrow if weather permits. There's a 50% chance of snow tomorrow, a forecast of low 30s, to mid 20s over the week, with snow on thursday and saturday.

Looks like we're going to have an opening by next weekend at the latest! I'm pumped just to see a little snow falling in Western PA!

finally.... i really can't wait much longer. ive been walking around my house in my new gear for way too long.

because thats what the buncher group thinks will make people buy season passes just to ski opening day at hidden valley.

idk why you would care about hidden valley if springs is opening. last year valley pushed to open and when springs found out they opened a day earlier if i remember correctly

Is Santas Bush going to have shit set up as well as Wagner bowl? They should be able to make a decent amount of snow this week looking at the forecast...

what i cant figure out is why are they only blowing on wagner and fawn?

i mean im no expert, but i would imagine they could open the whole front if they put some effort into it.

and i was up there today and there were deff ski tracks going down goosebumps haha

well the foggy bowl will most likely be sick and full of shit no ones ever even seen haha but, on the downside there not blowing santa's beard as usual... they always focus on the 3 main slopes just to say they have a mountain open.

there hasn't been a pre season beard for like the past 3 years, and by jump do you mean rollers? because it's supposed to be a beginner terrain park where jumps arent allowed to be. i know for a fact that snow making in the beard wont happen for a while because they need lot of snow to make it a park, and right now they only care about opening the mountain because, weekenders, gapers, and noobs contribute to the majority of revenue at springs.. not us park riders

I am finding it hard to believe people even considered the beard a park last year it had like rails the size of a twig and two rollers. They should just focus on the spot, even the alley sucked last year.

And the foggy bowl is fun anyways just cut through that goat trail past Helen's if you don't want to hike it

the alley is deff going to be legit this year. with an all new setup of rails built it deff has potential.

and for the foggy bowl, please something with kinks (dfd). plain flat and down rails and boxes only have so much potential.

wait, shit, that stupid snowboarders only premature ejaculation comp is this weekend. so pretty much the park is closed untill 4 pm.

keepin the fingers crossed for friday though.
