When Americans go to other countries what does our accent sound like?

sorry to double post, but i live in northeast PA and the people around here have the weirdest accent. this video kinda explains it. you prolly wont even get it unless you are alreay familiar with what im talking about

I beg to differ. Im English and have met a number of Canadians and Americans and i would say that the Canadians have a better sense of humor, but maybe they have a more "British" sense of humor.
 
usually when i'm abroad and a foreigner tries to speak the language, be it french, german, spanish, whatever, they try to use correct intonation and accent of the language, americans on the other hand (and brits also for a great part) just pronounce the words like they think they sound best which sometimes makes for some hilarious situations ...
 
When I was on vacation I asked someone what my accent sounded like and she said "fat.".i was going to ask how that was possible but I saw a McDonald's and it was all over after that..
 
As a person from Arizona I've been told that I speak more quickly (not too noticeably) than other people, although unlike people from the Southern United States of back East, my accent isn't very distinguishable. People from the Southwest tend to stick pretty closely to the phonetic spelling of words.
 
Haah, just kidding.. What's actually great is that I speak spanish, so when I go on vacation people only make fun of my bad Spanish accent an not my "loud, obnoxious" American accent.
 
But then again, I get made fun of for messing up sentences in English because of the Spanish when I'm home so that kind of sucks..

Im from kansas and it doesnt feel like we have much of an accent in Kansas City. In kansas out west you have horrible accents, but I feel like people in Kansas City dont really have much of an accent, but I know im horribly wrong and I sound like I am from the south to other people.
