Alright so i just saw all the things about newfoundland and i get the feeling that everyone this that newfoundland is such a crapy place for both snowboarding and skiing in both rail type places and just reg skiing and power skiing so here we go

if you like skiing bowls and big mountain power, we got it, go to the west coast of newfoundland to the blow me down mountains and you can get sick power, big drops, nice bowls, check out the site for this team that takes people up www.catskiing.net, now if you want resort skiing we have a few hills here. we got, copper creek, white hills, marble, the lump. north. marble is the best, with great places to eat and stay there is great skiing for the whole family, you got tubing, power, groomed everything, the park is good some year for the past few years it has been real good and while your in corner brook skiing marble you are right by the blow me downs to do some backcountry skiing and you can also go hit up alot of rails, big and giant rails at that with a great local group of people.

the rest of the newfoundland has good skiing, and st.john's is great for rails, but you really have to just come here and see it for yourself, great country side, great party times, and if you are in st.john's its a must that you go down to george street. where is you think you know how to party, well go there and you will find the true definition of partying right there!

st johns, the capital of newfoundland was featured in the photo issue of freeskier. Newfoundland has sick rails in st johns. The blowmebowns in the west is always featured in meathead films.

I think many of us greatly respect what Newfoundland has to offer....and Labrador for that matter....it's a sick sick place thay I don't get to as much as I'd like.....

nfld is the best place on earth.

skiing is a part of the reason. s

when is the best time of yr to ski the blow me downs>

I just did a season in Lake Louise which was amazing, but I am from Newfie land and grew up going to marble a few times a year and i gotta say besides the size of louise and there BIG powder days once a week theres not a while lots of difference

The problem I find with marble is it's really off and on. I've skied there my whole life and about every 4-5 years years you'll get an absolute gem of a season, great conditions, great snow, plenty to do and ski, etc. But most seasons leave me wanting more. i'd like to get home 1-2 times this year to ski but thats probably all i'll get.

i'd also like to get some people together to do some jibbing or build a hit in st. johns. Anyone out here who wants to do it up during the winter let me know. I don't know any skiers out here but i do know a few boarders

hi folks, i'm heading out to the rock on the 8th. hopefully some urban for a few days in st john's then out to cornerbrook and marble on the 13th. hopefully some sled skiing as well. any local hints you want to share? anywhere good to rent sleds on the islands east coast?

thanks
