Perhaps you failed to consider that only people with fancy ringtones decided to click this thread. It may not be any fun, but I tried the ringtone thing and hated it every time my phone rang. If you're good with it then it's not so big a deal, but whenever mine went off all I could think of was that douchebag who lets his ring go for fifteen to thirty seconds before he picks it up to the annoyance of everyone around him.

See, I'd never want a ringtone for texts... it would just get repetitive and old. Ringtones are one thing.
 
for texts its so gay, mine just dings and i like it that way. i hated having a ringtone for a while but if you put it as a good song that everyone can appreciate then its legit. i let mine ring for a few seconds sometimes.
 
i'll agree with you there and my phone is gay with texts wen i first got it i was all pumped so i threw on its sickening by classified for texts but it turns out wenever someone texted me it would play the whole song for some gay reason so now i settle with vibrate
 
same here... samsung blackjack by chance? i just cut songs and send em to my phone, usually about 5-7 seconds or so for texts
